The Bush Administration's Most Despicable Act »

"This is not the America I know," President George W. Bush said after the first, horrifying pictures of U.S. troops torturing prisoners at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq surfaced in April 2004. The President was not telling the truth. "This" was the America he had authorized on Feb. 7, 2002, when he signed a memorandum stating that the Third Geneva Convention — the one regarding the treatment of enemy prisoners taken in wartime — did not apply to members of al-Qaeda or the Taliban. That signature led directly to the abuses at Abu Ghraib and Guantánamo Bay. It was his single most callous and despicable act. It stands at the heart of the national embarrassment that was his presidency.

I used to think Bush was just a stupid bumpkin following orders. Now we know, however, that he is the most evil man ever to darken the doors of the White House. May his soul rot in hell!

There is so much wrong that happened over the last 8 years, but what is the worse is that the American people went along with it. Now our country is bankrupt while Iraq has new infa structure, hospitals, schools and a surplus in the bank.

People allowed their government leaders Rep and Dem to sit in Washington and do nothing about any thing. It is all one big "Wag the Dogs Tail" scam and now billions have been given to banks who won't even account for how they have spent it. Disgusting, the whole thing is disgusting.

Bush violated his Oath of Office and committed crimes against the Constitution.

Bush is an war criminal under international law.

Bush presided over the greatest culture of incompetence and corruption the US has ever had.

What is wrong with you people? I am so sick and tired of all you bleeding hearts out there who are more concerned about the enemy than American lives in this country. I have not agreed with many of Bush’s policies, but one thing that he has done for us is to keep us safe since 9/11. Which is one of his major responsibilities as President. Besides I could care less what other nations think of us.

Doing nothing to hold this crimminal administration before the light of justice will only embolden those in the future to do the same things, or worse.

It will take an international effort to bring this unholy abhorration of a government before those who can judge them on their crimes.

It will be of most importance to get the real truth to the American people of the goings on of the last 8 years. The media in this country must also be held accountable for their part in this fiasco.

The false claims of political partisanship must be immediately debunked or risk further fragmentation of the populace. The truth MUST be the truth.

Do this most difficult of assignments now, and a millenium from now this time period will be judged as the darkest in American history.

Do nothing and it will be looked back upon warmly as the good old days.

Well we didn't get hit by an asteroid either, so thank Bush for that! Right. His policies created far far more terrorists in this world and in 8 years didn't even attempt to deal with securing ports or borders. Gimme a break.

Iraq? The invasion was as sensible as if North Korea had lobbed a missile at us and we destroyed Canada in retaliation.
