So you think the way to stop spending is to spend more??>>>>

That would depend on what they're spending on. If they spend on programs that create or save jobs, that keeps the wheels turning that give us an economy. Businesses stay open, folks keep their jobs & spend their paychecks on goods and services. That keeps business going, which keeps jobs going, which keeps paychecks coming, which keeps spending up, which makes the economy strong.
Now if they spend money on giveaways, that helps nothing. people get their bit of money, spend it, and there isn't any more to keep the economy going.
I would expect that what they spend will be an investment for long term economic growth that stimulates production right here, rather than in China or Mexico,or any number of off shore businesses. I would also expect investment in new technology that can be competitive & exported as well as sold here. New technology, new industry, more jobs, more paychecks, more spending. Hence, a strong economy into the future.
You, my dear, are a partisan hack. The good news is, you'll have no say in this mess, cause if folks like you did, we'd really be in trouble. Oh, that's right. You had your say for eight years. How's it going for ya?-

My personal economy is fine because i dont say i only work a certain kind of job or certain hours, i work with the jobs available i will never be unemployed, i did not have a job for a week after i was laid off but i am gainfully employed again today thank you for asking, those who are broke and poor did it to themselves by spending money they did not have, i follow the rule if i cant buy it with cash i dont need to buy it, i dont own credit cards and no outstanding debt so let the economy fail under Obama im ready for it.

The economy has NOT yet failed cushi... We are merely in a 'recession.' You'll know when it does for real though, because the vast majority of Americans will have become squatters. Hahahaaha, really though... You think it's bad now? LOL, just wait.

You see, at this point, Government spending cannot fix this problem, no matter how skillfully planned it may be. Why? Because any way you slice it, Americans are stuck in this habit of paying off debt with more debt. Well, all that does is postpone the inevitable and that inevitability is bankruptcy... Which is exactly where the US is headed! THAT is when you will see the REAL meaning of ECONOMIC FAILURE. Some people call me a 'wet blanket' for being so 'pessimistic', but I'm just being realistic IMO. Hope for the best, plan for the worst and carpe diem!-

I would agree with if more spending means just giving money away to boost spending. But like I said, if it's used to build a producing infrastructure, it will sustain itself and generate money into the future, including tax dollars to pay down our obscene deficit.
