Here's a little known video about this Israel/Gaza conflict that is getting little media attention. Please watch this and draw your own conclusions.

That was a very graphic and gruesome report. I noted that the interviewee has 30 years experience treating battlefield trauma. That lends a lot of credibility to his charge.

Hi sumptuousdigs ~

Interesting that last week the IDF was denying any use of white phosphorus
in Gaza. This week Major Avidal Leibovitch gives an indirect answer, saying
Israel uses wapons according to international law. IMO - that's a LONG way
from, "No we don't". Sounds as if they ARE - and this week they seem to think
it is a defensible decision.
Phosphorus burns to the bone and cannot be extinguished with water -
it must be smothered with sand, etc.
Out of the current 900 plus dead in Gaza over ONE-THIRD have been
children - can you imagine the image of such carnage?
Unbelievable that my own nation would aid and abet such behaviour.

Gilbert also accused Israel of having used the weapon in the 2006 Lebanon war and previously in Gaza, and referred to studies showing wounds from the explosive could cause lethal forms of cancer within just four to six months.
That's horrific! All is not fair in love and war!-

The ONLY "good" aspect to this story is that it is out in the open now.
Reply
From the beginning I was reading hints about "new" weapons.
I guess this puts the Israelis on the cutting edge - literally - of the latest war-technology and I do agree that the source of these should be investigated thoroughly and that whoever DID supply them, probably with the goal of doing outside-the-laboratory testing should be held responsible and culpable.
Meanwhile the crazies will continue to believe that this is a "just war".-

I can assure you that I'm not a "crazie" but I strongly believe that as long as Hamas and other organizations of Palestinian militants insist that the war against Israel should continue IT IS A JUST WAR.
It would NOT BE JUST in case Hamas and other organizations of Palestinian militants were allowed to murder as many Israelis as they wish while Israelis would watch the carnage doing nothing.

Are all of you living in a tunnel? Or maybe in bed with the sheets covering your heads. Hamas controls Gaza. They took great care to eliminate anybody who didn't speak up for Hamas or represent their views. Do you honestly think that anybody would be allowed to work in Gaza unless they were complete supporters of Hamas? Hamas controls the media in Gaza, the hospitals, the staff and all other aspects of the infrastructure. Were these workers from Norway of nordic descent or Muslim? Because they came from Norway doesn't give them any more credibility "(The two medics, who were sent into the war zone by the pro-Palestinian aid organisation Norwac)." Just because it's from a news agency who got it from an interview doesn't make it so. It may be, but it just as easily may not be so. If any of you remember, it has been said by more than one person that the war in Vietnam was started in part as a testing ground for new weapons during the cold war. Ridiculous then, and just as plausibly ridiculous now. Mark Twain once said "Get the facts first, then you can distort them anyway that you please."

If this was an isolated report from some blog or something, I might give your theory some serious thought. This is out on the press wires and there have been reports of these types of weapons being used on Palestinians since 2006. Whether the Israeli's are using this type of weapon should at least be investigated. Just attacking the messenger in hopes to sway public opinion to ignore these reports is being an enabler. Where there is smoke there is a good chance you will find fire. Another thought to ponder is if they have used this weapon in the past or present, who did they get it from?

Edmar14- are you one of those YES BUT people , I am seeing many of these people commenting on this site lately . A YES BUT comment is somewhat similiar to finger pointing or even worse . The even worse is what we should be afraid of , the even worse is to be a denier.

The story presented opinions of two doctors who were in the area and stated their opinion about injuries that they found odd.
i will remind you of your own history about some of the events of the Holocaust, I watched a artical last night on History channel called the "Escape from Auschwitz ". I must apologize for not remembering the names of the two men who escaped from the camp but when they told their story to Jewish people in Switzerland those people would not believe them . They said that such a thing could not be. Not only did those people denie such a thing could happen but so did the world and look of what the results were. No person should ever close their eyes to what people are capable of , and those people I am talking of are the people of your country, religion, race, political party or even family members, or at times even ones own self. -

What was the birth rate of jews living in concentration camps? less than zero.

What is the birth rate of muslims living in refugee camps? 4-10 per couple, with no-rights no-education women serving as breeding livestock, with sucessful men having as many as 4 wives.
I can't say it enough, who gives aflying crap what happens to either inbred tribal arabs or inbred tribal jews in the craphole sewer that is the middle east. F' em all, every last man woman and child.
And a special death wish to all the neocon zionist jews and christians in this country who send 80 billion a year to fund one side or another. Unfortunately, they own the corporations, the banks, the media, and therefore own the country. The US airforce is 100% zionist evangelical.
F'ing totally insane. Seems the chinese are the only inbred tribe that doesn't suscribe to superstition and religion as government policy. Chinese, now there's what inbreeding can do. Or how about india, 1 billion and doubling in 50 years.
Mexicans, doubling population in 50 years. Living in abject poverty, rampant corruption and crime, and having bambinos like there is no tomorrow, which there isn't.
Somebody get me off this sh*thole of a planet invested with farting screaming hairless baby machine tribal baboons, all raving god is on their side as they murder and pillage and merrily hump away. -

antibrainwasher- I see you have a reallly problem with religion and in many cases rightly so. I hope you don't find this as an insult since it is sort of religious but you should read the first part of the serinity prayer, personally I sort of skip the second part.

I have more than a problem with religion. I see it clearly for what is it, something you and the idiot huche seem to think religion that is the root cause of all this murder is just lovely, good for you.

Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza...all these places are test labs for new weaponry and ID tools.
Reply
you can only lab test these new-fangled gadgets and killing machines for so long until the Orwellian desire from the powers that be to test these things on actual humans takes over. Thats how the military-industrial complex works, and administrations like the Bush administration only exacerbate this idea. but first you have to de-humanize the people you want to test your weapons on, like the Israelis have done with the Palestinians, like we have done with the Afghans and Iraqis (for how much is one american life worth when compared with iraqi or afghan lives? 100 lives? 1000? 10,000?).
and every time I see afghans or iraqis being retina scanned for ID purposes (when a picture ID will suffice) I know I'm looking at some form of biometric tool that will be put into play in the near future right here in the US, most likely to be used on people of color and those who occupy the lower rungs of the socio-economic ladder.
just more systems of control.
a brave new world indeed.-

A interesting argument to justify not taking out the ENTIRE cancer.
Reply
Cancer's role in life is to kill the host.
George Bush thought he could get away with killing SOME of the Taliban...not too bright.
BTW. The reason OBL gave for the attack on the WTC was because Americans sullied his precious homeland soil when we were protecting Saudi Arabia from Saddam.
The Afghans in general REALLY appreciate our help in throwing out the Soviets.

Now for the reality check:
Reply
1. This accusation was initially made in 2006 by the same journalist who claimed without evidence the US used white phosphorus in Fallujah.
2. DIME weapons are not illegal.
3. As DIME weapons are perfected, they allow a military to ratchet down lethality to nearly one room of one building. There is increasingly less risk posed to the structure and other occupants within it. The DIME, as such, is also an LCD weapon, or "low collateral damage" munition. The technology will allow the lethality of each device to be determined at the time of use.
Sounds like Hamas now has one more reason to consider the launching of rockets at civilians to be insane. Let's all hope they take the hint.-

The very first time I heard of this was from an American soldier that had returned from there, he said they called it 'whiskey pete'.
There is no doubt Israel is using it, they have said they are, but only as a smoke screen, as it was intended and legal to use. The problem is that it is not proper to use it in so dense a population area.
I won't defend Hamas or Israel, I'm still trying to get a handle on how I feel, and have a hard time believing most of the stories coming out of there. I have too many questions for both sides.

"Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) is uniquely suited for Low Collateral Damage. It produces lower pressure but increased impulse in the near field. Far Field damage is reduced (no frags/ impulse rolloff). The lethal footprint can be tuned to precision footprint. Strike Weapon Scaling Tests were completed in August of 2004), and full-scale Mk-82 tests were in the planning stage as of early 2005. DARPA funded RPG defense system feasibility tests in January 2005, which were successful."

Isn't this the second time this story has been posted here? It is just surreal reading the comments from the same Israel haters and knowing they are like a living rerun of when they did this story last week. The only difference is now more people have gotten tired of the palestinians who insist that they have a right to launch missiles at Israel because they voted for it.

the more i actually read about these DIME weapons the more they seem to be in the more humane vein of "smart" weapons--the field of damage is very confined controlled and there isnt shrapnel flying every which way--in other words they are weapons designed to create the MOST damage in the MOST controlled and limited way--seems like a much more responsible response than sending up 6,000 hail mary rockets from the middle of a schoolyard--anyone defending these hamas monsters only need to listen to the "protesters"..the rent-a-mobs that have sprung up here screaming that we should send them back to the ovens..YOU NEED A BIG OVEN...so much for the religion of peace--isreal must crush these islamic fanatics..and so must we

Wow...this gives new meaning to "drop a DIME on someone". So if memory serves...Isreal's islamic neighbors all want it "wiped off the map" and Hamas routinely lobs missles on Isreal's schools while hiding behind little girls in Palestinian schools...Am I missing something here???? Perhaps the Norse doctors should spend some time in Isreal.
