Shouldn’t Laws be Constitutional? »

It is called the Enumerated Powers Act, so named because it refers to the 10th Amendment which limits the federal government’s powers to things specifically enumerated in the Constitution.

Wow, it seems like such a no-brainer. But is the law as simple as that? I have seen every manner of "simple, no-brainer" laws touted by media which are in reality far more complex and have good reasons for not being passed.

"If you want to pass a bill you should know by what authority you are doing so." Constitutional law is the study of how the Federal Governments authority was justified under various specific grants in the constitution. For example, within the authority to regulate interstate commerce were construed such things as product liability guarantees. Every bill DOES already fall under one or more of the authorities granted to the Federal government.
