Janis Joplin was a unique voice of the 1960s and early 1970s who implored us with her raw and soulful voice to appreciate what we do have instead of whining about what we don't and missing out on the joys available to us in life.

From a hitched truck ride with Bobby McGee to this haunting song with a subtle psychedelic backdrop about being open to love and the rich experiences available in life, Pearl was one the most moving albums of its day.
