Endo, evolution is no more our faith than gravity or physics. It is a theory supported by facts that enables us to predict future events. Instead of just dumping a bunch of steel and cement together and seeing what happens we can use our faith in math to make a prophesy about whether a standing bridge will result. As far as ethics Atheists have you religious types beat seriously. If you have jesus you have an anytime get out of hell free card if you tell him you are sorry. If you are an Atheist you accept that only you are responsible for your actions. In prison you can find new muslims, born again christians, all sorts of freaks who will tell you about an invisible man who tells them what to do. Good luck finding an Atheist in prison because we understand personal responsibilty.

Replace average ethical atheist with average opportunist lying dictator. It is not like these mass murderers have anything to do with atheism. It is more like they have a problem with people believing in anything except them. All the religious types are competing with the dictator for mental slaves (republicans). In the end there are only so many people who will believe absolute crap whether it is god or communism. In the same way there are only so many billions of gallons of cola to be sold. Your examples are not atheists at all. They fully consider themselves gods and have no qualms about trying to ban competing gods. Its not like they don't believe in god. Its like they don't believe in competition.

no slate, you're wrong again.... as usual. you should check your facts first before you state them as such
the largest religious population in the world is christian (2.1 billion). islam is 2nd (1.5 billion)

all those europeans had to push something to keep the people stupid and erase their cultures while they stole their lands and resources. and nothing spreads religion better than an empire or five. that's how christianity came to dominate the planet.

The vast majority (of US Americans) was for the invasion of Iraq, in the beginning.

The reason for that is that they didn't have ALL the (REAL) facts, but were mislead.
Most are now changing their minds or want out (without losing face tough).
Most (US) Americans however do not know all the facts and real history of Israel and it's problems with the Palestinians. Actually, most Americans do not know much of history, except maybe just about the US (and even then....).
This does NOT means that I agree with the actions of Hamas, however, one wrong doesn't make the other right.
Palestinians do indeed have major points and legitimate demands, but nobody ever listens to them and Israel does whatever it wants, against all international laws and UN demands.......
Don't forget, there are always two sides to the story....
