How do you "connect more Americans to an open and affordable Internet"?

With competition. You get rid of the monopolies of Comcast and AT and allow smaller companies a share in the field.

Comcast use to advertise UNLIMTED access to the net and then conveniently started to drop people without warning if they surpassed some magical consumption figure. No warning, nothing to look at to see where your at in your usage, just poofed. They;re excuse Network management. ROFLMAO, seems in Britain you get speeds over 100 times faster then what you get in the states. Seems you can "manage" your network by tossing people off to make your numbers look good or do whatr they do in most parts of the world, build your network to be useable.

We had the sweetest internet/cable with Roadrunner. Comcast came along and bought up all the competitors in our area. Suddenly our internet speed was close to 14.4 baud dial up modem and our bill went up $30 a month!
