If what I have just watched is the reason for the average Joe suffering through high energy costs, then more regulation is needed in the energy and commodity investing. It seems that the rich wanted to become richer on the backs of everyone else. I don't mind people making a good investment and profiting from it....but the futures trading can drive up a product to a point that it is more than it is worth. when this is done with necessities such as energy and food....then that is wrong .

Enron took advantage of deregulation.
Reply
"The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 deregulated the market for energy futures. This is what is commonly referred to as “the Enron loophole.” It has led to malpractice and manipulation of these unregulated dark markets resulting in price spikes far beyond what the normal law of supply and demand would dictate."
