Already Obama is being hit broadside by the briefings that Bush gets. Oops, he is turning into Bush 3 with foreign policy. This happens to every new president.
It is one thing to harangue about the current office holder but when faced whit what the current office holders has faced they find out why they made the decisions they made. Obama is going through that process. Hope and Change are nice sounding ideas but then there is the reality of what the world is and why many decisions were made. That is why it is important to vote for the person who is best able to make those decisions.
We will see what Obama does and the results of those decisions. Any real American hopes that he will be a good president. Time will tell and I hope that he makes great decisions.

I unlike a couple commentators on this thread, know that there are promises President Elect Obama has made that can not be met right away. That due to the mess the outgoing admin has made it will take years, and possibly / probably more than one President to correct the damage. For the first time in eight years I can see the glass as half full, breathe easier, and am more hopeful. -

The biggest challenge will be for Obama to convert us over to a Socialist nation. I for one wil resist him all the way.

I will give him as much of a chance as you libs gave President Bush during his term.
History will show that GWB will be a much better President than the one term Obama. -

I say wait and see before casting all these judgements since he did pick retired Marine General Jones as a National Security advisor and other republicans for his cabinet. Clinton, as I recall, simply swept out the republicans, and he has mentioned a tax cut which is a Ronald Reagan type move. Anyhow, wait and see because you have no other choice - unless you just happen to be a member of Congress! What else are you going to do?

So, a guy who ran on violating the Constitution and moving class-warfare along with bribing for votes to a new level won... Can't tell you how enthusiastic I am... Also changed his tune on Iraq, guns, and about everything else in order to win. Now I'm exicited...

"Change we can belive in"
Reply
"Hope"
"Change from the politics of old"
President-elect Obama has nominated Timothy Geithner for his secretary of treasury, a man who avoided paying taxes for four years. Timothy Geithner has never worked in the private sector. And now, even though he has avoided paying taxes, Obama wants to put him in charge of the IRS.
As well, President-elect Obama has nominated Eric Holder to become his Attorney General, a man who was culpable in the Clinton pardoning of Marc Rich, a pedafile who escaped the country with millions of dollars.
Was this what Obama meant when he said "Change we can believe in" and "Less of the same old-style Washington politics"? In the Democrat Primaries, then Senator Obama blasted Hillary Clinton on the policies of her husband, including her stances on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, he has nominated her to Secretary of State, Rahm Emmanuel to Chief of Staff, and Leon Panetta, a man who has no experience in the intelligence community, to become the CIA chief. It appears that Obama is surrounding himself with the same people he stated were "more of the same" in Washington politics.
Is this the "Change we can believe in"? Or did you expect more; a different tone in Washington? -

Good video dont like the guy its about and dont trust him, but the video was well done, 5 days tell the man who has gone back on 95% of what he ran on takes office, Change is coming????, really the only change i see coming is we will have a new president but that change would have come no matter who was elected.
