NEW YORK - The wife of the cool-headed pilot who safely landed a crippled jetliner in the Hudson River said Friday she was stunned to hear about the ordeal from her husband after it was all over.

    The pilot "did a masterful job of landing the plane in the river and then making sure that everybody got out," New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said. "He walked the plane twice after everybody else was off, and tried to verify that there was nobody else on board, and he assures us there was not."

      God bless the pilot's of that doomed aircraft for making an incredible, and completely safe, water landing.
      Wow. Simply amazing. Everyone survived!
      They are true heroes!
