ONTARIO, Calif. – George Newberry tells his true-life story about a near-death experience and a mission that placed him in the midst of a supernatural battle between the forces of good and evil, in his book The Devil’s Reign: A Documented True Story That Proves the Forces of Evil Do Exist (now available through AuthorHouse and all major bookstores.
After major surgery at the age of 14, Newberry had a near-death experience in which he was told, “You have to go back….you have a destiny to fulfill.” Later in life during a powerful dream, he was told, “Now you have dreamed a story, wake up, write it down and do something with it.” That dream sent him on a mission to expose the forces of evil and warn people of all religions to get their lives in order with God and unite to fight their common enemy, the forces of evil.
While writing a screenplay to relay his message, Newberry was bombarded with problems, mind-boggling events and shocking supernatural experiences. For example: The name “Lucifer” mysteriously appeared on a court document, baffling everyone, and a numerological evaluation of that document equaled “666.”
Newberry finished his screenplay but he was still being watched by an evil eye. Hollywood producer Robert Munger took $20,000 from him and sabotaged his screenplay. In addition, he found it interesting that many scenes from his script appeared in the Arnold Schwarzenegger film “End of Days.” The film was produced by “Lucifilms” (Lucifer?) and the production start date was Nov. 21, Newberry’s birthday. These statements have been validated with documentation and verified by his publisher’s legal department.
A quote from the book (originally written in 1999): “Uncontrolled Capitalism gives power to corporations and greedy rich individuals. If left unchecked, the middle class will not survive and a society of rich and poor will exist. Home ownership will no longer be in the grasp of working class people. The American Dream will come to an end. Corruption, greed, drugs, gangs, terrorism, etc., are like cancers spreading a wave of evil over the world. If we don’t fight evil with equal force unbound by our own rules (An eye for an eye), we will be destroyed.”

Partial List of Documented Events

 
1.  VERIFIED.   At the age of 14, following major surgery, George had a near-death experience.  He was told, "You have to go back. You have a destiny to fulfill."  He graduated from High School in Illinois in 1958 and moved to California in 1968.
     
2.  DOCUMENTED:  In 1976, George awoke to see one of his Illinois high school classmates, LaDonna, floating above his bed. Within seconds, she was gone.  George called back to Illinois to tell another classmate what had happened.  She replied.  "Oh my God, only a few minutes ago I was told that LaDonna died last night.” The reason for that experience was revealed to George, in the presence of witnesses, twenty-two years later.
 
3.  George’s destiny came to him in a dream. At the end of that dream a voice said to him, "Now you have dreamed a story, wake up, write it down and do something with it.  Actress JANE WITHERS, a long time friend of George’s, convinced him to pursue his mission and write his story. He didn't realize his efforts to warn people of all religions to unite and fight the wave of evil (terrorism, religious wars, gangs, drugs, greed, political correctness, the abuse of power, corporate and political corruption, etc.) that is being allowed to spread around the world, was going to place him in the midst of a supernatural battle between the forces of good and evil.  He attacked evil and evil attacked him back. GEORGE ALSO HAD MANY DOCUMENTED GOOD SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCES: Proof to him that he was being tested and he had to fulfill his mission.
 
4.  DOCUMENTED:  In 1991, one month after George started writing a screenplay to relay his message, in which he says, “Drugs are the devil’s keys to people’s souls,” a homeless drug addicted cousin he took in to rehabilitate ripped him off. George filed a city police report. But, the sheriffs department was on the trail of his cousin’s associates. Armed with a search warrant, they came to George’s home to search for drugs. When they learned George had filed a police report, they left. But, the name “LUCIFER” mysteriously appeared on the search warrant.  The SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT, the COURT, and the DMV COULD NOT EXPLAIN HOW IT GOT THERE.  Numerology done on that circumstance equaled "666."
 
5.  DOCUMENTED:  George was bombarded with huge financial losses, more strange experiences, and was ridiculed, sabotaged and betrayed by people he thought were his closest friends. His car broke down and the mechanic couldn't find out what was wrong with it.  After renting a car for six weeks and dealing with more mind-boggling experiences, George called a priest and asked him to come bless his home.  After blessing his home the priest said to George, “If you don't finish your story, the devil wins."  The following day the mechanic called George. “I finally found the problem with your car and I hope you're sitting down,” he said. THE ORDER NUMBER FOR THE FAULTY PART WAS “666."
 
6.  DOCUMENTED and WITNESSED: George appeared on a Raleigh, NC, television talk show (a tape of that show is available).  During that show he recreated the numerology he had done on the "LUCIFER" search warrant that equaled ""666."  Later, an evil voice saying "Lies, Lies, Lies" mysteriously appeared on that tape. (A letter from the lady involved is in the back of the book. She is also willing to take a polygraph test).
 
7.  DOCUMENTED and WITNESSED: In 1998, the hostess of the Raleigh television show came to Los Angeles.  George invited her to his home for a BBQ.  She brought Christina, her friend she was staying with in LA, to the BBQ.  George also invited other friends to attend.  Everyone there knew about George’s experiences except for Christina.  Christina asked George if he was raised in California.  He told her he was raised in Illinois.  She asked, "What town in Illinois?"  When he told her he was raised in Taylorville, she asked, "DID YOU EVER KNOW ANYONE THERE NAMED LADONNA?"  Everyone in the room stopped dead in their tracks and they were covered with goose bumps. EVERYONE KNEW GEORGE HAD SEEN LADONNA FLOATING ABOVE HIS BED, EXCEPT FOR CHRISTINA. She had never met anyone there previously and she had no knowledge of George’s experiences. EVERYONE, INCLUCING CHRISTINA, WAS SHOCKED WHEN FURTHER CONVERSATION REVEALED THAT CHRISTINA IS LADONNA’S COUSIN. Later, Christina was the only person who was able to help George when his script was sabotaged by a Hollywood producer who had promised to produce his film. That producer took $20,000 from George and paid another writer to write a new script reversing George’s plot. It became "End of Days," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Characters, renamed, and many scenes in “End of Days” are identical to those is George’s script. (Documented and verified by the publisher’s legal department)
 
8.  DOCUMENTED:  The production company for “End of Days,” was LUCIFILMS (Lucifer?), and the production start date was November 21, George’s birthday.  (Documented in the Hollywood Reporter)
 
9.  DOCUMENTED:  George decided to fulfill his mission by writing “The Devil’s Reign,” a book that would relay his message and tell the story of his supernatural journey.  He received a letter from his literary agent stating, "I think there is something dark and unusual about your project.  I have been having problems with my computer only when working on your story.  The last time, my computer crashed and I had to have it rebuilt from scratch.  I hope the devil's are behind us." (A copy of the letter is included with other documentation at the end of the book)
 
10.  DOCUMENTED: THE DEVIL'S REIGN was first published in 2005. The book was on the market for three months without problems. But, less than a month after Arnold Schwarzenegger received a copy, George received a call from his publishing company.  He was told, "We are severing all ties with you and canceling your book if you don't pull everything about Arnold Schwarzenegger and his movie out of it."  George refused to do that. He told them he could furnish documentation to back up his claims.  They didn't want documentation and George’s book was stopped.   His publisher wouldn't respond to any of his requests to let him prove he had told the truth. As a last resort, George filed a lawsuit against his publisher. Before the case was arbitrated his publisher agreed to pay a New York literary attorney, who was the head of Simon & Schuster’s legal department, to go through every page of The Devil’s Reign to document and verify George’s claims. George furnished legal documentation to back up every claim he made in his book. The case was settled out of court and George’s book was republished intact in April 2007. George’s publisher now supports George and his book. A picture of the producer who sabotaged George’s script has been inserted into the new book and George was allowed to update the ending. It now includes the turmoil he had to deal with after Arnold received a copy of The Devil’s Reign. When the case was settled George asked the president of his publishing company, “Did Arnold or someone from his camp call and make threats over the statements I made in my book?” The response was, “I can’t answer that question. I can’t tell you they called…but I can’t tell you they didn’t.” The publisher states in the new book, “The statements made by the author in this book have been validated with documentation and verified by this publisher’s legal department.”
 
In The Devil’s Reign George tells us about more documented mind-boggling events that are not included here. Copies of most of the documentation that backs up George’s claims are printed in the back of his book.   Any further necessary documentation can be supplied.

George has been interviewed on radio and television shows from coast to coast.  Witnesses and people involved with this story are also available for interview.

Born in Missouri, Newberry grew up in Illinois. He is a member of the Thalians, a Hollywood show business charity organization founded and chaired by Debbie Reynolds and Ruta Lee. He was a member of the Beverly Hills Friar’s Club, a member of the board of directors of the Film Welfare League and the Pomona Valley Writer’s Association, and former president of The Film and Performing Artists Foundation. He has two daughters, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He has authored other published works in addition to The Devil’s Reign.
