COMMUNIST PARTY WANTS HR 4437 IMMIGRATION BILL TO PASS »
Posted By RedRiverJ 10 months, 1 week ago in Political NewsLast December, the House of Representatives passed anti-immigrant HR 4437, introduced by GOP Rep. James Sensenbrenner (Wis.).
• It would make all undocumented workers felons, as well as those who help or work with them including teachers, clergy, union leaders, social workers and family members.
• Employers would have to check the Social Security numbers of all their employees.
• An environmentally destructive wall would be built along the Mexican border.
• Local and state police would be deputized to arrest anyone they think may be without documents. This would vastly increase racial profiling and scare immigrants away from reporting crimes.
This is no solution! It is another way of diminishing the democratic rights of the people in our country. HR 4437 must be defeated in the Senate. Just and workable immigration reform should be passed instead.

Why do you suppose the communist party has such a huge interest in immigration? Because they want to take care of the american people? Sure they do.

It's all about new voters people. A new voting block that would vote primarily democrat would give them control for years to come.-

LOL...Red, you're like the sad looking guy at the circus who stands on the floor with his shovel waiting for the next load of elephant crap to hit the floor. As one of the streetwalkers for the whining flaccid con party, you're obviously still reeling after you people got slapped totally silly on election day, huh? So now that you've moved on to trotting out the "C" word (guess cons finally realized that when you bend over and spread your legs to support Bush, Cheney and your corporate welfare queens, the word "socialism" kinda loses a lot of its punch). Good luck with that but does this mean cons will all start hating "McAmnesty" again? ;-P Gee, seems it was just a year ago that you fell in love with him (after spending the previous year hating him). I can't keep track of lying cons flipflops and lies but at least more Americans are waking to see what sad sleazy cons disappear as your pitiful bag of cheap tricks runs out. ROTFLMAO. Poor cons. You spread your legs for Bush and Cheney for 8 years and all you have to show for it trillions more in debt and a lead-laced "I Support the Troops" magnet (made in China, of course). ;-(

The logic would be to oppose the communist desires. Adios, California has lost 250,000 citizens through a major move out. A 150,000 Hispanics have moved in.

Mexico is losing the drug war as drug lords take over one city after another. One drug gang alone has have over 20,000 members in the U.S The L.A mayor, who is Hispanic had an aid busted for running a drug operation.
80% of all U.S. drugs come from Mexico and its open borders. Now do you see why are enemies "support" immigration control! -

Since when do you care about what the Communist Party wants? Besides, what makes you think that they would want to increase the votes for the Democrats? If anything, they would want to get some votes for themselves. You may think that Democrats and Communists are practically the same, but I'm pretty sure Communists don't. -

It looks like the Communist party doesn't want this bill to pass. I have to agree with them. Making felons of illegal immigrants would cost an incredible amount of money. Having to jail them before deporting them would clog our already overcrowded prison systems. These people are guilty of trying to make a better life for their families. They pay taxes and rarely file for refunds. As far as a voting block goes, they aren't citizens so they can't vote so you can relax RRJ. Good post.

I have known for some time that neo-cons cannot understand what they read and this proves the point. You have as your headline "COMMUNIST PARTY WANTS HR 4437 IMMIGRATION BILL TO PASS" but the title of the article from the Communist Party USA web page is "Defeat Anti-Immigrant HR 4437". Did you even understand what you read or do you just jump to conclusions because of the subject and who wrote the article?
Why would the Communist Party want to get people to vote Democrat? Wouldn't it be better for them to get a "voting block" (as you call it) for themselves so they could defeat the Democrat and Republican party. You make no sense at all but it's not surprising seeing who you have supported for the last eight years. -

I find it interesting why you would present the immigration issue against the backdrop of the American Communist Party ... (the CPUSA)
Reply
It's like you are living in the 50's ... fighting the 'Red Menace'.
But then, I realized that you've quoted them before ... as part of your overall effort to link the American Democratic Party with Communism and/or Socialism.
But this link is only in the minds of the most extreme ... who view ANY expression of the Federal Government as a potential infringement of their Manifest Destiny to be free of all restrictions on their own personal behavior.
This is a common technique by those on the right.
I decided to try and use the same technique ... ie linking those with whom I have political disagreements with a commonly derided group.
http://www.propeller.com/story/2009/01/19/right-wi...
Unfortunately, when I submitted the story, a lot of extraneous white space was included before the Commentary Section.
But if you read the article ... you will read that there are precious few Registered Communists in America.
In fact, the leader of the American Communist Party, Sam Webb, states that there are 'as many as' 15,000 members.
This is probably a major boast ... ignoring the fact that the CPUSA has likely attracted many goofballs who applied simply as a spoof.
On the other hand ... there are hundreds of thousands of Right Wing Extremists ...
And they are far more dangerous.
In fact, Right Wing Extremists have killed thousands of Americans in the past 4 decades ... whereas I cannot find a single instance where a Communist killed ANYone.
.
It's also interesting that the article that RedRiverJ submitted is dated from 2006 ... just a month shy of 3 years ago.

The problem with your thinking, RedRiverJ, is that you are stuck in terms of black and white with no shades between. As you have certainly realized, It is difficult to reconcile such a two sided division with a world that has many nuances between the two extremes.
Reply
Perhaps you should consider a more finely divided universe than one that is all white or all black?

Wow...So this is how cons behave after turning the Republican party into a heap of flaming wreckage, bankrupting the country, and destabilizing the world economy (not to mention how many people died because of your shockingly poor judgement)? By trying to start a witch hunt over immigration? OMG...Please tell me you cons are not serious. If you are, this does not bode well for the resurrection of your party. At least I don't think it does. ;-x

My state enacted similar legislation about a year or so ago. It's currently under appeal last time I heard. There was a grace period of a few months from the time it was enacted until it became law. During the last month before it became law there were caravans of illegals heading south on the interstate.....I don't know where they went, but the hispanic population declined.
Reply
I don't have a problem with hispanics, as a group I think they are hard-working, moral people with strong family values. But, they need to come here LEGALLY.
With the drug wars in Mexico right now, this will be a problem that gets worse. There will soon be large waves of refugees if that problem isn't fixed.-

Agreed, but under this bill, if you were at all 'Hispanic-looking' and went out for a jog without your wallet, you could be legally detained since you don't have your documentation with you. I don't know about you, but the idea having to constantly carry my 'papers' with me gives me the wim-wams.
I agree with your assessment of the drug wars in Mexico as well. There's a pretty easy way to fix that one: Legalize.

Immigrants are accused of causing every social problem, and especially of taking jobs and services they are not entitled to. This is not true"
Wrong..it is true. They are jamming up emergency rooms, they are putting a huge financial burden on our schools,THEY ARE stealing jobs from Americans..construction,farm,meat packing (look at what happened in Postville Iowa )...Their first act in this country was illegal and yes if you look at crime statistics a large part of robbery's,murders, etc. are now being committed by illegals..
When you have over fifteen million illegals in your country,,that is not an immigration problem..that is an invasion problem that is tied directly to national security and our sovereignty...These people choose to cross our borders and come into this country illegally, that is a crime. They are hired by people that care only about profit not their country, and to hire these people is ILLEGAL !!!If that makes felons out of people that are helping them then that is the way it is..breaking the law is ILLEGAL.Get it ??-

fiftynine you are very correct. Schools here are force into taking them in, without any documentation. They have no idea of their health records, who they are, what grades they've completed, nothing. In my state they are told they must take them, hire translators to talk to them, all this at tax payers expense.

Some of the large business' here are hiring white collar immigrants taking white collar jobs that American kids with degrees from colleges in the USA can and would do if given the chance. People from other countries will work for no benefits and lesser pay so they get the jobs. So our kids are left working two jobs trying to pay for college.

The jobs they are 'stealing' are ones Americans are simply unwilling to do, at least at the wages being offered. Interview any employer who has used immigrant labor and they will tell you they use them because they work cheap and/or the employer simply could not find any legal citizens willing to do the work. This is especially true in the harvesting and packing of food. If you expect the food industry to provide wages at the level necessary to pay American workers, then you should expect to pay more for the food.
The reason politicians on both sides of the aisle have shuffled their feet on this issue is that a crack-down on employers providing these jobs will turn up high-profile offenders who not only wish to avoid the publicity, but wish to continue to have access to to this pool of cheap labor.

This bill appears to put all the blame on illegal immigrants. What about the companies that hire these people? If no one hired illegal immigrants, they'd have no incentive to come here. -

The American constitution clearly covers the subject of immigration as well as many other points of law. Most of these points of law have been ignored by those we elect to govern America. In other words your elected officials have had their obedience bought by whoever provides the largest....ummm--donation?
Reply
There were millions of illegals in America because politicians refused to enforce the constitution for generations. They fixed the problem of illegals by giving them citizenship which really opened the flood gates and millions more came at a cost of billions to the American taxpayer. Thanks Ronald Ragan.
As American citizens they were able to demand more free services and got them ( and the American taxpayer got to pay for them). As citizens they were able to demand at least minimum wages and benefits-and got them. And what did this do?
The employers replaced the newly made citizen (who had benefits and higher wages)with more undocumented illegals because they worked for less. Now these new citizens and new illegals still get free social services costing(guess who)a lot more millions of dollars.
The biggest source of revenue for Mexico is the oil industry. The next biggest source is the money Illegals send home from American jobs.Your politicians have given citizenship to illegals by the millions, will not do anything about the millions that are here, and will not stop allowing those with low skill levels into America. Why is that? Oh... Money. Oops-donations. Whatever-the American government will take care of everything-with money the taxpayers so willingly donated to the government.
Americans will never learn. I thought short term and memory loss was a problem for the old and feeble minded. Apparently not. For those who want to help illegals and support their elected congressmen. I guess you haven't lost your job or home yet. Lets talk more when you do. Lets talk more when you finally realize those who are running (ruining) this country should be replaced. -

We all want to b*tch and moan about illegal immigration... but the fact is we all do business with companies that hire them... there are after all laws on the books.... but most labor jobs would not get done at a price that people would be willing to pay...
Reply
example.. I appraiser real estate.. on some large development sites when I go to do construction draws for the bank.. to release construction funds based on percentage of completion... I get out of my truck with a camera.. half .. sometimes ALL of the workers that were busy DISAPPEAR.... I had a stucco boss ask me to call him first 35 of his workers could not be found while I was on the site.. and their stucco hardened... cost him a small fortune in lost productivity....
but to get rid of workers like that ... would raise the price of most development "tract" houses... by at least 20-30%...
there are LAWS... .. but if a company has illegals on site... arrest the company's owner 10 mandatory for each worker.. fine him 5 grand a pop for the workers first offense... 2nd offense 30 days for each worker and 15000 fine... 3 offense 1 year for each worker .. seize and sell the companies assets..
PROBLEM SOLVED.. no jobs.. no need for them to be here...
the recent drop in illegal immigration is due as much or more to the economy that a 700 mile fence on a 2100 mile border...-

You know that is wrong Will, just the same as i do...We talked about this before.
Having been involved in construction in Florida for many years before the big increase in illegals....the jobs always got done with American labor and the prices were cheaper than what they are now and the jobs were done by skilled American workers that had a stake in the community's,so that argument doesn't cut it with people like myself that know better..

Uhhh, its already illegal to be here undocumented... Im a police officer in the Houston area, the problem is the county DA's who refuse to take federal charges. When police in Texas are sworn in, we swear to enforce local state and federal laws. We also need that wall, the violence in spilling into the US, we need the wall to stop that.

how does a wall stop violence? does a wall change minds? what causes the violence? the violence is driven by the hyper-inflated value of the drugs we have chosen to make illegal. the solution to the violence is to undermine the "value" of the drugs in question.... what's the best way to control the value and disbursement of these drugs? you know the answer as well as i...
