It is aways hardest prove what was actually discussed when only 2 parties are involved (as is probably the case with any conversations Joe Biden may have had with Barack Obama over potential Cabinet position). And this will ONLY have shelf life if Hillary Clinton and Biden come to loggerheads over foreign policy (which is not likely to be the case...). And without that, this is ALREADY - and literally - yesterday's news....

Interesting; not completely surprising given Biden's experience. Of course, one can never tell what two people may or may not have discussed. But given the timing, it makes more sense that it was discussed, if at all, as a hypothetical situation.

"After the exchange aired on television three hours later, Biden spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander denied Jill Biden's account in a statement e-mailed to reporters."
If we are to believe in the new administration, perhaps this type of denial shouldn't happen. Granted, as previous posters say, no one but the two parties know absolutely what was said, but Mrs. Biden provided too many details of the discussion between she and her husband (and Biden himself didn't deny it on air, just shushed her)for me to disbelieve her account. I remain disappointed in President Obamas choice of VP.-

Why? It's apparent you doubt without any proof.
Two people meet together and go their seperate ways. Both talk to their spouses about what was talked about at the meeting. Ask those spouses what happened at that meeting and you can be DAMN SURE there will be points upon which both sides differ 180 degrees.
"Granted, as previous posters say, no one but the two parties know absolutely what was said,"
That's where it should end.
"I remain disappointed in President Obamas choice of VP."
You just don't stop whining and move on, do you.
