The Bush administration is all packed up and moved out. Tomorrow morning, the Obama team will switch from the transition team to the Presidential staff. I can understand why the Bushes are nostalgic, but like an uninvited guest, why can't they just leave quietly without making a scene?

  You sort of have to wonder what may have happened had Repubs chosen a more capable flag-bearer. I think that there are many more "conservative" (small C) people out there than the Dems like to think. The problem was that GWB and his crew tried to hitch this to a specific "Conservative" political agenda (capital C), which even many innately conservative voters couldn't buy into. Maybe someone could have pulled this off, but it wasn't GWB.
  
  I guess a paraphrase of Barry Goldwater is good advice for Obama-- "Extremism in pursuit of pretty much anything is a vice."

  What other stupidity can be expected from a totally biased group like huffingtonpost. All of the negativity put into that story is stupid. Of course liberals look at things like that as just simple truth. A lie about how bad a conservative is should be believed.
  
  Well libs think about something. When Bush was inaugurated there were all kinds of left wing hate groups out there protesting. This time there are none. What does that say about the left wing of this country. Which side gives the other side some respect? Surely not the left.

      Um...if you remember correctly, the reason that happened was because Bush and Cheney and Rove divided the country into Red and Blue states during that election. That is what caused the biggest scism our country has seen since the civil war. That is what people were protesting. Well, that and the fact that Bush stole the election.
      
      Obama actually WON the election and did it by UNITING us instead of DIVIDING us. That is the big difference. That is why conservatives and liberals alike are getting behind Obama. He is not trying to make us fight against each other to keep from noticing what he's doing. He is actually leading us.
      
      Bush gave everyone a reason to hate him. Obama hasn't done that yet. Should he destroy what little Bush didn't dismantle, then he will be held accountable.

        I said the article was biased; I didn't claim the whole
        New York Times was.
        
        I accused this article of being biased (perhaps unfairly) because the GOA investigation was very clear that the accusations of a crazed riot of vandalism and theft were false; were lies; but the article downplays that angle and
        quotes 'unidentified' white house staff.
        
        To answer your question: what paper or wire service is credible ?
        
        All of them are 50% credible.
        If you only use one, you will know half the truth.
        Use several that look at diferent views, and you can find the truth; sometimes.

        The Constituion IS a just piece of paper, the flag IS just a piece of cloth....it is the value that we as a society place on these objects that give them there true worth. If the PATRIOT ACT and other post 911 policies are ******** on the Constitution, then what did FDR do when he federalized US industry on 8 dec 1941? What about the internment of Japanese-Americans? Was that ******** on the Constitution? Remember that AQ attacked NYC and the Pentagon, the Japanese attacked the US fleet at Pearl Harbor when Hawaii wasn't even a state yet.

        I was a littlte busy stretching canvases with my daughter.
        The link is to the 220 page report prepared by the Government Acountability Office.
        I get a kick out of reading there stuff and they can usually handle complicated stuff in less tha 100 pages.
        It seems this time the White House kept sending back their drafts, in hopes that they would write something that would match the alligations
        I laughed my ass off reading it.

        - by a partisan prosecutor who put witnesses into shackles for not saying what he wanted to hear,

        History does check in regularly though, to find if people mean what they say.
