At home or in a car, there is nothing that will really stop a determined stalker besides a firearm.

All the martial arts training, 911 calls, and restraining orders in the world will not stop a stalker who is committed to harming a woman.

And with a taser you get one shot at one attacker at close range, and it only stops them for about 30 seconds--not even time enough for the able-bodied to run away or call 911, and useless if there are 2 or more attackers or the victim has a disability.

The bottom line--protect your right to self-defense guaranteed by the second amendment. That's what it's for, and George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and the rest made it explicit, because they knew there will always be bad guys.
