The song reached the number one position as Billboard R& B Chart as U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The single received a certified Gold by RIAA. It has been used as a covers by singers, bands or groups like The Rolling Stones (Four Flick DVD). Last year, it was used at the 2008 Democratic National Convention as way to celebrate the unity after Hillary Clinton gave her support to the new president Barack Obama. The O’ Jays is active since 1958. In 2004 they are inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and next year they did into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since today, they will be on tour.
