At least someone is keeping their eye on a rebuilding effort. Lot of work to be done.

      > The Saudi king... told Israel that an Arab initiative offering peace will not remain on the table forever.

Who cares? As long as the Arabs did not agree to the conditions of their own "initiative" it's up to them to produce something they agree to. When this is done they may try to offer this initiative to Israel at which point they (the Arabs) shoulld be prepared to negotiate it with the Israelis.

Oh great... all that Saudi money spreads in the muslim world is wahabism and its ignorant stand opposing all things non-muslim.

Of course, the wahabi influence would be opposed to the shi'ia support of hamas, and probably start more problems in gaza, so one can't see the israelis being opposed to it.

A billion dollars, is all? They are multi-TRILLIONaires! Still, though, a billion for fellow Muslims is better than nothing. Looks like it's going to take a LOT more than a billion to clean up Gaza. I mean, if you look at the place, it looks Godzilla went through there, or, should I say "ADONAIzilla"? :)

Ahmadinejad sending Abdullah notes of ingratiation is like Hitler encouraging Stalin to sign the Ribbentrop pact. The midget muse sure does enjoy needling with his letters. Would think the clerics and their puppets have their hands full abusing their women instead of finding time to blackmail the U.S. with oil threats. A Shia Sunni alliance – that’s a good one. The Arabs are too corrupt ever to realize pan-Arab fantasies.
