linsR You call it screwing up, no surprise there. I call it he was moved! as any man should be to be ELECTED to serve the whole nation. He actually seemed honored, again as any man should be.

Much better then you're beloved, a stuttering idiot in every speech he ever gave, any day.
And oh...you're one of those people, claiming Obama the messiah, savior, now most brilliant man in the world?. what an idiot. Who says those things? idiots!-

libsR- Even IF Obama was solely responsible for the little blurps, he realized it, and he fixed it that second.

Besides, it was the Justice's fault, the oath to the Presidency is in the constitution and has to be repeated back verbatim. Had he not switched the words, Obama (who had it studied the proper way) wouldn't have stumbled. Must you ******** criticize everything? We have a new president who for the time being hasn't f*cked things up, support him until he does, as we did with YOUR Messiah, Bush.

Libs, you are right on, Obama worship is hysterical. How many years have people on here bashed Christianity, Bush, and neocons. Obama actually believes in God, and bows his head during prayer, no matter how absurd the prayer is.

We are all suppose to come together now? Meanwhile in the background of Obama walking down the street are signs that say arrest Bush. How can we come together? I don't wish this man ill and I acknowledge this historic event and can't help but think it is pretty cool that this has happened. However, I don't support his policies, and do not wish for them to come to fruition.
I am glad Bush now gets a well deserved break and new life from the whitehouse. While I don't agree with everything he has done, I will acknowledge the great things he has done, and look forward to buying his autobiography. I will read it to my kids.
God Bless Bush-

Doubtful. God's not really big on warmongering genocidal idiots. Or at least Christ's not.
"How many years have people on here bashed Christianity, Bush, and neocons."
Neocons and Bush deserve it. Christianity was just their hijacked tool.
"We are all suppose to come together now? "
Yep.
"Meanwhile in the background of Obama walking down the street are signs that say arrest Bush. "
Many think he committed crimes. No one is above the law. Therefore a call for his arrest.
" I will acknowledge the great things he has done, "
Name one thing other than the AIDS drug program (likely offset by his abstinence only birth-control funding).-

That is complete fraud. You must not have studied the Bible or the Koran. The Christian God is a God of love but also of wrath. The real God, the one who created this world and sent His only Son to pay for you and my sins, is not the same. The Koran advocates murder of non-believers. The real God gives everyone a fair chance to embrace His truth before the end times and the judgments that will ultimately convince unbelievers that He is real. Even then, people will defile His name and work to fight against Him.

To understand where Allah comes from, go back and study Abraham and his children's life. It is a worthless religion, with a false god. Well maybe it is not completely worthless in regard to whatever virtues it teaches. But nazism taught virtures also.
I understand this may insult a lot of socialistcons and muslims. But I will stand by my words, Islam is worthless and allah is someone to understand but not take...even remotely serious at... in light of his calling for us to murder others.

wow...the ignorance you post...um, not every language is the same...you know, like the word (in english) "one"...it can be ein, uno, etc... "God" is also not pronounced or spelled the same in every language. Why, there is one language where it is pronounced and spelled "Allah"...but your racist bigotry won't recognize that huh, because when "God" created the world, he intended it all to be white and speak in english, huh?

"Ignorance speaks there. Allah and God are very different."

Ignorance of your own religion speaks there.
The God of the Jews is the God of the Christians is the God of the Muslims.
That's why they're called the Abrahamaic faiths.
"Allah is. Isn't he yours. It seems that way the way you post."
You know why I know you're a communist? Because you say you're not a communist.

actually when Bush was elected, I'd just turned 12 2 weeks after the election so I was actually hoping he wouldn't d@mn the nation, not that I knew much on the topic of politics, my mind was elsewhere as 12 year olds minds in 2001 were.
Reply
I only started to become disillusioned with him when I started listening to alternative rock and actually reading/paying more attention to the news, circa 2004.
Although I did believe at the time like most, that he'd somehow stolen the election, I just didn't pay that close attention-

Seriously though, being as young as you are it's easy for your mind to be corrupted by pop culture and chances are you don't know any of the good things that President Bush did while in office. And thats fine, you're young. I was the same age at the start of the Clinton administration and thought the same of him as you do President Obama. Hopefully Barack wont let you down like BIll did me.-

hehehhe thanks for clearing that up,,,,,,, no doubt Clinton is 'likable' but I assume Bush can be as well,,,,, both made their own mistakes,,,,,,, one usually got a pass on his (do to that abject likability) and the others is look at through an electron microscope

IMHO - Clinton had a chance to drastically reduce the chance of the WTC not being attacked the second time
By taking out OBL when he had two chances. no guarantee but surely that would have helped.
Since he too believed that Iraq had WMDs and attacked Iraq with missles, he could have done more there, which would have reduced the likely hood of the war now ongoing there.
I wonder, how would any armchair quarterbacks here would have reacted to 9/11?

I don't know who you are generalizing about, but I voted for President Bush the first time. If anyone has a right to condemn the actions of a president, it is those who voted for him. Of course, freedom of speech allows all to speak their opinions on his "deeds" while in office regardless of who they voted for.
I'm glad that you know Republicans (Americans) that are hopeful of President Obama's term in office, but many are displaying their displeasure of Obama here today and have been doing so since he won the election. The same people that have been blaming Obama for everything that's happened under Bush's watch before Obama was even inaugurated.
These people are reprehensible and should not be claimed by Republicans. They show the same arrogance and ignorance that is turning off the majority of Americans and has marginalized the Republican Party.
I think that Obama becoming president bears out my point.-

I agree that some republicans ought to be damned ashamed of themselves for thier actions of late. In my opinion however they can hate on him all they want from election day to last night. Once he was innaugurated they all needed to stand behind him. Those that chose not to are sad. However, democrats have to get over your hatred of the whole republican party.

I am an Independent and vote for whoever makes the most sense and shows the most ability to accomplish their campaign promises. I don't hate either the Democratic or Republican Parties, but believe that the vocal extremists in both camps make the majority of either party look bad.
I also don't believe that the majority of either party truly hates the other. However, I do think that some from both parties may hate the extremists of either party. But, my point is, that the saner majority of each party needs to treat each other with civility. Yet, because we identify with a group, we tend to stick up for the extreme views because of party affiliation rather then calling out those causing nonsensical derision. -

I disagree. The president is our servant, not our emperor. He serves at our wish. He must be held responsible for his actions. And he must be reprimanded and corrected when he fails the people, causes them harm, or does not follow their wishes.
Like any corporation, the CEO is elected by the shareholders (theoretically). The CEO runs the company and makes it profitable. If he fails to create profit or ruins the company, he is replaced.
Bush failed our country and our people in so many ways. He has to answer to us, THE PEOPLE.-

You're missing my point all together Sinophil. I was saying that everyone who had a problem with President Obama these last two years needs to stand behind the man and support him so long as he does not screw up. Think of how much better off we would have been in 2000 if we had all stood behind and worked with President Bush from day one. Or in every other election for the last 50 years.
Reply
Now, since you brought up President Bush l'll say this. In the first 6 years of the Bush administration the only complaints you had against the man was the war and the fact that you thought he stole the elections. And I'll grant you the fact that the wars were not run very well at all. What war is? In every war we have every fought we have had to learn as we went. What I'm getting at is that if you are going to hold the President accountable for our economy going to sht these last two years you had better hold the congress acountable too. Or things will never get any better. And if you believe that the congress (who spent the majority of their time investigating barry bonds) did not play a major role in the collapse of our economy than you are in for a big surprise.-

While I may not have been on Propeller as long as you have,,there has been more to the POTUS that is leaving than just stealing an election or a mis gotten war.
Immigration was a big fight on here 18 months ago, as was wojo's $200,000 secretary, or failing to give the troops a well deserved raise but extending their tour of duties, or gonzo and his antics,,no kid left behind ( mind you I have fault with anyone trying to improve education, if it don't work, try something that might ) or the hiring of all those legal aids from a low ranking school, or the care of Vets,,,hell it was too many domestic policies left at the wayside in favour of his foreign policy,,,and foreign policy takes decades to bear fruits,,good or rotten....just look at 1953 and Iran and what it brought in 1979....no the departing POTUS was a weight around USA's neck and because of this USA has sunk deeper than she deserved.
If Obama can get USA to even tread water again,,,he will be a sucess.-

You also have to choose your battles. You'll get nowhere faulting Bush for the NCLB Epic Fail becuase Kennedy authored the bill. Immigration is another. Bush took the side of Kennedy once again and we had another Epic Failure. The fact is, the American people are too ADD to even bring up immigration. We've forgotten all about it. If the McCain/Kennedy bill were brought up agian tomorrow it would pass with little resistance. I'll tell you one thing Hanni, a sure fire way for Obama to get my vote in 2012 is for him to try and get some term limits set for congress. That would impress me enough right there.
