FTA-"To me it's beyond comprehension that they would take the side of the terrorists," said Peter Gadiel, whose son, James, was killed at the World Trade Center on 9/11. "Many of these people have been released and been right back killing, right back at their terrorist work again."

Perhaps Mr O is about to understand the difficulites of being in the Oval Office? Of course he can consult with John Murtha who said his state would take them in their minium security prison. -

No wonder the 9-11 families are outraged!

What happens if we bring them here for trial
If the information we have came from waterboarding Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the case will be thrown out. What will happen to the detainee – he will be released HERE!
If the evidence would reveal methods or sources it won’t be presented in open court. What will happen to the detainee – he will be released HERE
A number of the current detainees are from Yemen. Want to send them back there?
Remember bombing of the USS Cole?
A number of those responsible were captured, tried and jailed in Yemen
What happened to them? They ALL escaped! Probably the better term to use would be “released”
Then there are the countries in Europe who have criticized Gitmo. YET the very same countries have refused to allow detainees from their countries to be returned-

Of course the executive order states Gitmo will be closed in a year. There is also a commission being set up to “study” the situation and make recommendations

I really wonder if the executive order is simply Obama pandering to the far left in the hope that after a year passes, there won’t be so much heat if Gitmo stays open upon recommendation of the commission
The same commission will also be looking at “enhanced interrogation” techniques used by the CIA. More pandering to the left only to leave Obama some wiggle room if “enhanced interrogation” becomes necessary?
Or are we going back to the Clinton era policy – terrorism is a law enforcement problem?
