Comming Soon: Amnesty For Illegal Aliens »
Posted By RedRiverJ 10 months, 1 week ago in NewsIf Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and thirteen other senators achieve what appears to be their goal--what amounts to amnesty is coming soon. On January 6, the “Stronger Economy, Stronger Borders Act of 2009,” S. 9, was introduced as “among the legislative priorities for the new Congress.” But thus far, the content of this bill does not reflect what its bold, tough title implies. Rather, using Vermont’s Senator Patrick Leahy’s introduction of S.9 as the barometer, the precise opposite will occur. It is a bill which would weaken America’s border with Mexico and legalize illegal aliens.

Incidentally, Senator Leahy “looks forward to working with Harry Reid, Senator Kennedy, Senator McCain, and others interested in working toward the goal of immigration reform.” In other words these horse' a**'s are more than willing to put out a very confusing bill to help cheat you and your kids out of jobs. The co-sponsors of the “Stronger Economy, Stronger Borders Act” are: Senator Mark Begich, Senator Barbara Boxer, Senator Richard Durbin, Senator John Kerry, Senator Joe Lieberman, Senator Charles Schumer, Senator Jeff Bingaman, Senator Sherrod Brown, Senator Edward Kenney, Senator Amy Klobuchar, Senator Carl Levin, and Senator Clarie McCaskill.

Typical fascist ideology to blame the economy on the immigrants. During times of economic strife there are always those hateful and fearful people who always seek a scapegoat to hang for their fears. Under the flag of patriotism, Hitler came to power with that same kind of "reasoning."

It is not the person the immigrant, it's how our politicians are using them at the same time cheating us out of our jobs. If one stands up for American jobs you are labeled racists, you're not compassionate. Forget the fact that it's your job and your tax dollars that allows them full access to every free entitlement our country offers.

It's all about getting new voters, hiring people for less money that will work for fewer benefits. Money and votes are the name of the game. -

If you want to have immigration reform, you first have to secure the borders so only those who have petitioned for admittance to the United States are admitted. All illegal aliens will be denied any financial assistance until all Americans have been taken care of. How can ANY Politician support issuing monies to illegal aliens before and until we have taken care of our own. E-mail your representative and let them know how your vote will be resting on this issue. This is the only thing the politicians understand. If it will cost them reelection, they will listen to you.

This is not about immigrants. This is about legality. We are a nation of immigrants and that is to be celebrated. Our differences as well as out similarities is what makes this country great. My grandparents were immigrants. They came into this country legally. They abided the law. This is about legality nothing else. The laws are designed to protect people and people who are here illegally are easy targets for victimization and exploitation, but what the hell we'll allow them in. One also must ask what kind of citizens will these people become having already demonstrated such a blatant disregard for the laws of our country. Doesn't matter that they just flipped the middle middle or thumbed their noses (a la Rahm Emanue at the inauguration quite relevant especially on this thread, the perfect token gesture of what Obama and the Dems are starting to do to main stream America) at the 90% of Americans whose anscestors came to this country legally, learned the language, played by the rules, studied and eventually became citizens. It's all good though because HIS MAGNIFICENCE and his legion of minions have decreed it. Funny, I think I missed the last Papal Decree of Pope Benedict stating that after much reflection and meditation he can now state with INFALLIBILITY that in affairs of State, Obama is now infallible. I understand that after Obama's next cabinet appointment, or any other decision he will make he will announce it to the world via a little puff of white smoke that will emanate from the White House chimney. I also understand that all the major media outlets will now have reporters stationed outside the White House 24/7 eagerly anticipating The One's next REVELATION so they can announce it to the world on a moments notice.

You are right about illegal aliens being victimized because of their illegal status.
They just busted four individuals in my state for preying on illegals by posing as police and immigration agents. They were basically "arresting" them and making them pay a $200 "fine". Of course, because they were illegal, this little shakedown went on for quite some time before it was reported to the real authorities.
It would be best for all concerned if IMMIGRATION was handled by existing LAWS, rather than breaking all the rules.-

my point is the laws are supposed to protect both citizens and non citizens. And contrary to what people may believe I am not a proponent of rounding up 10 - 12 million people and deporting them. That's not what this country is about as it would be reminiscent of 1930's Germany. That being said I think there must be something then just blanket amnesty. What ever that is et the legislators decide and lets make it fair, and lets make it equitable. I do believe we need to secure out borders first, and then find out who is in this country. We need to resolve this issue and put it behind us.

Seems the House is also involved in supporting illegal immigratns
Reply
Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa):
Pelosi used budget gimmicks and debate suppression to ram a bill through the House that gives illegal immigrants and wealthy families taxpayer-funded handouts. Taxpayer dollars designated for children’s health care welfare should go to children in need, not illegal aliens or families with high income levels.
Illegal Immigrants and Families Making $61K Could Qualify for Federal Help Under SCHIP
The State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), the federal program designed to extend health coverage to the nation’s poorest children, would allow legal immigrants and middle class children – those from families making over $61,000 per year – access to a program originally intended for the poorest of the poor.
The Senate is poised to pass the legislation, which is on a fast track, to be ready for President-elect Barack Obama to sign when he takes office.
Members of the Senate Finance Committee marked up the Senate version of the bill Thursday, after the House overwhelming passed their version on Jan. 14.
The bill would officially establish an income cap of 300 percent above the federal poverty line -- or $61,950 per year for a family of four. However, the bill allows for states to pay SCHIP benefits at incomes higher than 300 percent above poverty if they have sate laws or plans in place to cover kids above the 300 percent mark by the time the bill is signed.
The bill removes previous requirements, currently required under Medicaid, that mandate new enrollees provide photo identification and documentation proving citizenship, such as a green card or passport, when applying for SCHIP.
