FDA approves human embryonic stem cell study »

Federal regulators have cleared the way for the first human trials of human embryonic stem-cell research, authorizing researchers to test whether the cells are safe to use in spinal injury patients, the company behind the trials announced Friday.

    These are living cells that will divide, make more of themselves and migrate throughout the lesion after injection.

      I sure hope that the people who have been opposed to this research and have a spinal cord injury do the right thing and refuse this treatment. They will be paralyzed, incontinent, and a huge burden on their families and society, but the little blob of cells will not be exploited and, instead, will be tossed in a land fill with dignity and respect.
