I like the WIR for telling me about discussions I missed.

I jump in days after everyone has dropped the thread,
- and I crush the weak arguments, prop the strong ones, and just in general score every point in the abandoned room.
It is like debating in that empty forest where the tree falls and no one hears it, - except me of course cause I was talking to the trees thanx James. -

I would like to express my appreciation to the many contributors to the Obama story and my enormous pleasure in being able to instigate it and "host it".

As a non American-born person, though I do hold US citizenship and have an American-born daughter, there were occasionally times when I encountered the opinion that I had no right to comment on US politics and matters. The "love-it-or-leave-it" mantra.
Despite occasional run-ins with certain extreme members on propeller that has never been my experience here and I would like to acknowledge how many marvellous people I have met, virtually, in the propeller family - and even a couple of them in person.
You know who you are :)
It was a fantastic day - and despite my well-stocked cellar I only found time for a couple of beers to toast you all with. Time to have another one and clink virtual glasses : Na zdravi! To your health! -

What a week! This was truly exciting and there were many articles to explore! Propeller is an international community and I for one welcome hearing what those outside of the borders think. I never ever understood those who demeaned anyone on threads for not being born in the US... what harm does it possibly do anyone to hear a viewpoint from member who isn't residing where you reside? Foolishness.

Hi RFE!

if you were referring to my comment I'd just like to clarify that I have NOT experienced that "America - love it or leave it" directed at me here on propeller, even in confrontations with the extremist cons. Nor, to be honest, did I really encounter it much during the almost 20 years that I lived in the US. Its true that most of those years were spent in San Francisco, NYC and Vermont but there were also several in Montana and those were some of the best.Fact is that I did LOVE America for the FREEDOM that it has now largely lost since 9/11.
Surviving a couple of winters in a poorly insulated cabin in the otherwise unpopulated Emigrant Gulch, off Paradise Valley, down towards Yellowstone Park, and cutting down trees with a handsaw for heating, skiing in and out, kept me both fit and respected - especially when I was able to rescue a group of old-timers who went too far and too long in search of a lost horse and arrived back at my lone cabin in a dangerous state of hypothermia.
The US was truly a land of fantastic freedom and adventure for me BUT the change that happened after the first election of GWB - and I was visiting NY at the time of the hanging chads - was completely shocking. I've only been back twice since then for important family reasons and only for a few days at a time. I guess if I was a shopper I'd go more - NYC is so cheap these days, even for us post-Communists..

They are working on the new updates, some times the coding isn't right and it all shifts over, they will reload and then it will get straightened out.

I have found that when ever they are working on updating the pages that is when Propeller postings and other things get messed up.

Hi n2n, ((((n2n)))), You can block them from sending iM and I agree it is a real hassle to do it. You have to go into messages and enter their name to block, you can't just click an icon to block. And you can't block them on threads.....I hope your listening developers.....please simplify the block feature and put a feature on where you can choose who can IM you...friends or anybody.

GehlLady, are you using the "Explorer" browser? I looked at the site in that browser and it is all messed up. If you have a different browser try it. Also, on the lower right hand corner of the Explorer browser you can bring up the magnification by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen.

Wow, it sounds like somebody tripped over the Propeller power strip while I was away. It's now 11:42 PM EST and I'm not seeing any of the problems cited above: tiny type, crazy formatting. I assume that means the trusty dev team fixed whatever was broken. As for the late, lamented sink feature--keep your eyes peeled.
