Another new wooden surf fishing lure? Yes, however these are some of the nicest "manufactured" surf lures I've seen in quite some time, especially when you consider the prices! Our sales rep for this company showed us a number of prototypes when they first began the design of the Timber Lure and we found it interesting that such detail went in to these lures.

They use all the best components like Northern Basswood, which has been and still is the premier wood for plug builders here in the Northeast. In addition, we love the fact that they use triple split rings and VMC 4X permasteel hooks... these are the finest saltwater trebles on the market in our opinion. Oh, and the paint colors are spot on... perfect colors for luring a Striped Bass to the hooks! On top of the color they put THREE layers of epoxy clear coat on each lure too, so when the Bluefish or any other toothy critter takes a bite you won't have to worry about having a naked wood plug!
