I think it depends on how they go about it. If someone is going to preach at me about their cause, I don't care if it is liberal or conservative, it is a turn off. Why should I believe a famous person, just because they are famous? That being said, there are plenty of famous people out there who about their charity work in a much quieter way. I can support that.
