Posted By berkeley 9 months, 3 weeks ago in News

The Obama administration urged a federal judge on Friday to stay enforcement of a ruling favoring the plaintiffs in a lawsuit challenging President George W. Bush's warrantless eavesdropping program.

Without the classified evidence, Coppolino said, the government wins the case by default, and two American lawyers who claimed they were unlawfully spied upon can't pursue their lawsuit.

    Why is this a surprise??

Many of us said frequently during the campaign that Obama's rhetoric was just that - rhetoric

Why does anyone believe what a politician says during a campaign? They will say anything to get elected

The problem was too many saw Obama as a savior and not what he really is - a politician - from Chicago no less

Going to be a long for years for many of his supporters as the major promises are never fullfilled

Obama used the Clintonesque strategy of triangulation - a recycling of the Pauline "all things to all people" doctrine. Thus, homosexual and homophobic clergy at his inauguration, flirtation with the anti-war crowd while appointing zionist hardliners, all this nonsense is what got him into office, and inevitably, those who bought the BS will be disappointed when they find out that he is just what his voting record suggests that he is.

Berkeley, the article says that the plaintiffs say they were unlawfully spied upon. Obama's team is asking the judge to support them, so their case can be left open. Obama said he would procescute our former administration.

The proof of a pudding is in the EATING --- not in the "presentation", or in the glossy advertising photos used by "marketing" people to sell more of the stuff to a consuming public.

I, for one, sincerely HOPE Obama will GENUINELY live up to the CHANGE mantra that we have voted for. But there needs to be a GENUINE inclination of the part of "We the People" to GET BEYOND the cockamamie mindset of "King" Georgie and his Crackpot Cabal of NeoConMen, who (after all) THEY ACTUALLY ELECTED (at least the SECOND time around! --- Of course, they ALSO once elected even RICHARD NIXON a second time, and look what a miserable creep HE turned out to have been all along!)

The fact of the matter seems to be that there is evidently A SUBSTANTIAL STRAIN of toleration for, and even resonance with, the imperialistic mindset of much of "our" MISguided (many might maintain MISBEGOTTEN!) MIS"leadership" in this country!

The problem goes rather beyond just the Georgie Bushes of the "political circus" crowd. Even a DECENT leader cannot drag an INdecent people in directions in which they are determined to not go.

“It said that the plaintiffs are challenging Bush's wiretapping policy because they were unlawfully spied upon. Obama's team is asking the judge to support their testimony so their case can stay open”

              .FTA
“Obama administration urged a federal judge on Friday to stay enforcement of a ruling favoring the plaintiffs”

Uhm in English the same word can have different meanings depending on how it’s used.

In this case “STAY” means “STOP” or “halt”.
Obviously team Obama and who ever wrote this article is counting on the Obama supporters to be too stupid to know this.
