I'd like you to imagine a world where Christians understand Christ's message of forgiveness. A world where instead of harping over and over again about hell and damnation, judgement and burning, they talk about Christ's message of peace, love and actually practice Christ's commandment (a requirement to be in heaven) to love your enemies.
Hard to imagine with people like Ekklesia and Revelation around, isn't it? Doesn't it make you wonder why self-proclaimed angry Christians like this claim to be doing Christ's work, all while doing the work of the Adversary? -

How about after catching them, every single time, they bring them so fully into God's grace, forgiveness, love and offer a hand up to them so that they no longer have any reason to commit crimes? -

Tell me something. How's that rehabilitation system (the judgement and pure punishment one you're proposing) working for criminals in the United States? Largest percentage of criminals in jail in the world, growing every day, criminals being punished and not learning how to re-enter society, but instead learning new ways of committing crimes, et cetera..

If you're going to propose a hypothetical situation, you should probably look at how the current system you're using as a metaphor is performing. Guess what -- It's not performing too well. For exactly the reasons you say God implements in His/Her plan for judgement and punishment. -

Unfortunately, these are all words written by simple, imperfect men. Those who preach, or otherwise pass on these messages across the world actually BLASPHEME jesus, who came to minister ONLY to the house of israel.

Only Paul, who unlike the twelve apostles who actually knew and met jesus, claimed that these lessons could be taught to gentiles.
These notions of "heaven" and "hell" only belong to the hebrews, not to gentiles. -

Dont know. Never met the guy. And for some reason I dont think any of you who claim to know him, have met him either. Which is where and who most of our daily judgements seem to be coming from. -

Okay, this "article" says that God dispenses perfect justice, and then goes on to tell us that we have to believe in him to receive a good verdict.

How "perfect" would a courtroom be if the judge gave a life sentence to anyone who had the AUDACITY (read: misfortune) not to have heard of him in all his wonderfulness?
How "perfect" would that court be if the judge sentenced to death anyone who had the TEMERITY (read: due diligence) to question the judge's infallible (though sometimes contradictory) published decisions?
How "perfect" would the court be that would release thieves, liars, murderers and pedophiles, simply because they sucked up to him before sentencing by saying how wonderful he is (and incidentally how sorry they were for doing so many terrible things)?
Nevertheless, I believe that God will be a God of perfect justice. And, as backed up in this article, The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. That's right. According to what they had done. Not what they had believed, or what they had said, or what they had said they believed. What they had done.
Furthermore, if what they've done doesn't hurt anyone, and doesn't have the potential to hurt anyone, his perfect justice will realize that and not take it as a negative.
But if you're taking orders from a guy who's taking orders from a guy who's taking orders from a guy who's taking orders from Satan. And those orders are for you to kill innocent people. And you follow those orders? I don't think perfect justice is going to let you off the hook on that one. You should have known better. You claimed to following the teachings of a book that says you should know better. Thou shalt not kill is not a commandment followed by a list of exceptions including "except under direct orders from your commanding officer." It's a standalone commandment. Period. Thou shalt not kill.-

As far as the needing to believe in Jesus to escape hell thing goes? This seems almost exclusively the domain of Paul in his letters to everyone on God's Green Earth. He was really fond of the "believe it or else" line, and maybe that's why he was so successful in laying the groundwork that turned the Church into the multi-billion dollar business that it is today.

The interesting thing is that in the Catholic Church, those who haven't heard of Christ (i.e. the people before Christ, or people untouched in this world by 'evangelicals' [the real kind]) are considered to have the exact same possibility of ' being saved' as good Catholics.
But yeah -- thanks for the overview :)
