    It's a good joke, & closer to the truth than a lot of older people might admit. And I say that being an 'older' person.

      Thank you for the "good joke comment". One thing about us humans is that we almost never see ourselves as others do and we are always good at fooling ourselves. No matter how old, tired or ill we are, our minds still tell us that we can do whatever we could do when we were younger. It's very hard to accept it when we are told we can't.

        I'm dealing with a 91 yo father who shouldn't be driving, & understand about people thinking they can when they can't. I do OK according to my kids, but told them to prepare for the day when THEY will be 'driving Miss Daisey', lol. I don't think they're looking forward to that. ;)

          Jordan11, from the way you sound and from the type of comments you have made on my submission I have a feeling the you have a good relationship with your kids and when or if the time comes I doubt if they will mind "driving Miss Daisey". In fact I would be willing to bet that they will be happy to as it will give them more time to spend with you.
