The Plague of Doves , written last year by Louise Erdrich, weaves together a string of stories narrated by three main characters: Mooshum (a full-bred Ojibwe Indian), Evelina (his granddaughter), and Judge Antone Bazil Coutts (a mixed blood). The individuals take turns revealing tales about themselves and their family members.
