FTA: I believe anyone who wants to be a medical doctor should be obligated to swear that they will not withhold medical care for religious or moral beliefs. Wanna-be medical doctors either agree to that or they won’t be allowed to practice medicine.

This is ridiculous "logic". Where would this end? Are we all to be controlled by the preferences of others? I submit such a requirement would severely limit the number of people choosing medicine as a profession. The analogy to serving in the military just not compare. Medical doctors have chosen a vocation for a number of reasons: financial; to benefit humanity; other personal motives; skill or a vision to advance medical progress. They are not the employees of the state as are the military. To apply such a requirement is to limit personal freedom. In America I hope we are still attempting to defend the personal freedom of our neighbors.-

Has this person read reports of the CDC of the USA about the diseases homosexuals and lesbians are most likely to contract due to their activities? They do have a unique nature due to the practices which open their bodies to the diseases. Also their refusal to refrain from activities which heightens the risks to the disease contiuing or reoccurring.

*"Which “diseases and infections” is she referring to? Because as far as I know (and I’m no medical doctor, so help me out here if I’m wrong) there are no diseases out there that are unique to homosexuals.

In August 2008, the California Supreme court ruled that doctors can not refuse to treat patients based on religious beliefs, but in December 2008, George W. Bush passed a “right of conscience” law that says doctors can refuse treatment based on moral or religious grounds. I certainly hope that’s one of those Bush laws the Obama administration plans to do away with immediately.*"
If you ask me, she is a disgrace to the medical profession and should have her License revoked.-

So lawyers who refuse to take a client must tell why? What about other professions? Shall we define this sexual perference to be protected by a civil right like gender, race, etc. I do not see sexual behavior as a civil rights category. If we do then the list will grow until it cannot be managed.

How is this doctor a disgrace to her profession? She stated she might not be the best person to treat them. Doctors have limitations like all professions. To admit a lack of expertise is not disgraceful. Personally I respect doctors who refer to others who are specialists or have knowledge and experience they do not possess.
This approach is a limitation of personal freedom. Forcing people to comply with the ideology of others. The Nazis, Stalin Communism, other Facist regimes have done limiting personal freedom.
