Well if you have never heard of Beacon before its a system that lets Facebook receive information from its partner sites which is then used in various ways. The main way si that it lets you share your activities on other website with your Facebook friends. The second and probaly most anonoying thing is that it allows Facebook to keeps tabs on you and send targetted advertising to your profile.
