Posted By Neophile 11 months, 1 week ago in Political NewsWe are at a crossroads. It is the beginning of a new administration and the end of an old one. There are those who would like to forget the last eight years. It’s the magic-slate idea. As if you could lift up an acetate window and those eight years would suddenly vanish.

This is a man who never was (a President) and whose shadow would be sad to think that it is associated with him for the rest of his life.
He has single-handedly destroyed this country. It took 236 years to build it, and he trashed it in 8 years. What we have now is a bottomless pit of disaster that will take forever to rebuild it, if ever!
The only Hope we have is Barack Obama, and he has already rolled up his sleeves and started the long march to recovery.
There are a lot of roadblocks and potholes along the way - the Republican diehards who have not learnt their lessons of the past two elections. Republican party appears to be destined to demise, but before it disapears, it is hell-bent on pushing our country deeper into the ditch of depression!
Peace and Blessings to Obama and his team!-

while being a collection of photographs, the commentary is equally well-done.

history will be no kinder to him than the current economic disaster will allow, which is almost zero. the trends were put in place by reagan, then bush 41, then modified slightly by clinton, but bush 43 was exactly in the wrong place at the wrong time, and all that he touched turned sour.
it will take decades to dig our way out. -

Bush sonny was just the culmination of a trend that started with Reagan. Clinton did not really resist the trend and it ended up engulfing parts of the Democratic party as well. We need to be especially watchful of the influence of "liberal interventionists" and "israel-firsters".

" Dear World:
We, the United States of America, your top quality supplier of the ideals of liberty and democracy, would like to apologize for our 2001-2008 interruption in service. The technical fault that led to this eight-year service outage has been located, and the software responsible was replaced November 4, 2008. Early tests of the newly installed program indicate that we are now operating correctly. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the outage. We look forward to resuming full service and hope to improve in years to come. We thank you for your patience and understanding,
Sincerely,?
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA"
fingers crossed

Quite interesting, reading what each of these men had to say about bush and the pictures. They each have their own judgements of the kind of man he(bush)is. One said the press was allowed to be up close and personal with the administration and on the other hand pictures were all set ups and approved for human consumption.

Rfe, we won't be "getting over it" for many years to come.
