Bombing Pakistan is not a strategy »
Posted By berkeley 10 months ago in Political NewsPresident Barack Obama has signalled that he will continue the Bush administration's tactical use of unmanned Predator drones to target al-Qaida and Taliban forces in northwest Pakistan . Three days after swearing the oath of office, two Predators in Pakistan bombed two different houses, three hours apart , killing around 20 people, less than half of whom were suspected to be al-Qaida or Taliban militants.

Barrack, you can not defend America and please all the people who voted for you. Some of them advocate the destruction of this country and they will throw you under the buss faster than you dumped your pastor.

Tell us. Have you ever endured the expressed hatred of vast numbers of people? Do you think you could keep your composure in front of a hostile crowd? Pathetic old George Bush was able to do it, either through grace or denial. What will you do if the worshipful multitudes become irrational mobs? Think you can handle it? -

All you neocons are pathetic. You overlooked ALL of Bush's mistakes for the 7-1/2 yrs of the war he waged against Afghanistan and Iraq. You said not one negative word about Bush's horrible humanitarian record - approx 600,000 civilian dead, 4 million refugees, destruction of thousands of buildings and homes, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, torture.

Yet for Obama's 1st mistake - yes, I call it a mistake - you are howling to the high heavens w/ righteous indignation.
You all conveniently ignore his order to close down Guantanamo and seek resolution of the limbo status of all the prisoners there. You ignore his reaching out to Iran. You ignore his more balanced statements about the Israel-Palestine battle. You ignore his restrained praise of the Saudi peace proposals. You ignore his immediate dispatching of George Mitchell to the Mideast to initiate talks there.
Yes Obama will make more mistakes down the line. But the tenor of his entire approach to the Mideast conundrum is more open and balanced. Unfortunately the expectations may be too high for Obama to achieve nor can he satisfy everyone. But notice - he definitely has raised expectations whereas no one had expectations of Bush.-

What's'a matter, your boy isn't getting a fair shake? So you do the usual thing. You complain about George Bush. You remind me of the hillbillies in latin America who parade an effigy of Judas through the streets and burn it as an act of Christian faith. Judas is gone and so is George Bush, which brings us to the kernal of Barrack Obama. He can't make headway without Bush around somewhere. He has nothing to push against.
