    Many fail to understand that PERSONAL-finance is exactly as it stated, personal, and therefore every case should be dealt with its unique characteristics and these myths usually not relevant to their specific case.

      I understand your point in the first Myth: Refinancing can substantially cover your credit card debt.

      You're point is to not get in trouble in the first place and I agree. But once your in trouble and you have the opportunity to get rid of credit cards at 18% or 19% for a much lower mortgage interest rate through refinancing go for it.

          This is common among those who transfer to other cities or those who plan of buying larger homes when their incomes improve.
