"The headline is completely misleading. This is not a "stimulus package" this is a MASSIVE Spending Bill."

--Speaking of misleading terms, I'm glad we all agree now that "Operation Freedom" and the "War on Terrorism" were a "stimulus package" for about 150,000 (give or take) $100K per month salaried defense contractors who didn't have to compete for their jobs. But SuperBush "kept you safe" (except for a few thousand people that died on 9/11 and a thousand or so who died while he vacationed after declaring a state of emergency in the wake of a hurricane) so you don't have a problem being misled about that, huh? How much did Bush and Cheney tell you their war (only they weren't using the term war at the time) was going to cost you, cape? What kind of crap pile is Obama dealing with because Bush misled us for 8 years? Just wondering... ;-P

And of course, the recipient of one of the largest chunks of that particular "stimulus package" will not be generating any new revenue for the U.S., as they've moved their corporate headquarters to Dubai.

To escape the tax on business. A lot of them are leaving. If they want to compete worldwide that is the only thing they can do. Corporations are never taxed. Their customers pay the tax silly libs.

let me amend that a bit, endoscopy...LARGE corporations never pay taxes, they just pass them along. SMALL business (who actually create most new jobs) generally can NOT pass their taxes along and do, in fact, pay taxes -- often at the expense of new jobs or, if high enough, existing jobs.

As a small business owner, I know that taxes are killing me-- nearly 45% of my company's gross goes to taxes at various levels -- fed, state and local -- yet I'm told that I'm selfish and don't want to pay my "fair share" when I say taxes are too high.

The government gets far more income out of my country than my husband and I do combined.

--Hmm...Well, let see if cons can follow along...Now, given that the main reason the economy is in the toilet is that cons not only didn't criticize Bush and Cheney but instead rewarded them with a second term (after they blasted through a budget surplus) for the same thing (overspending) they're now screaming bloody murder over now that a Democrat is in the White House, do you people REALLY think you're in a position to criticize Obama barely two weeks into his administration?

You don't want your heros Bush and Cheney criticized for the destroying the country but you're all piling onto Obama like a bunch of bitter drunken clowns?! Yeah, you cons are sane. LMAO

Yes, if he signs this pork bill. Yes, if he doesn't respond to the people dying in Kentucky. Yes, if he is actually continuing renditions.

I'm an American. I can and I will criticize my President when he is damaging the economy of my country, appointing tax evaders, and ignoring the plight and deaths of Americans in the aftermath of that ice storm, while he was having his Superbowl party.

                  Gertie,
I have taken you to be a nice person, it's a shame you chose to jump in here. I've tangled with meso before, he and I disagree on many things. I think you misunderstand the term 'cons' as meso and others use it. It's short for conservatives. I am not 100% conservative, nor am I 100% liberal. If you check the news, some democrats and some Obama supporters here on propeller, you'll see some of them also have doubts and are not happy with some of Obamas nominees, and are unhappy with his executive order continuing renditions. Renditions were one of the worst Bush policies. I am not now, nor have I ever been Bush supporter. Rendition is wrong, just ask Tehranchick. It was her submission I saw first. This pork bill is wrong.

Something else for me to complain about?
It looks like I'll have to treat you the same as you have me, with rudeness.
