The song was performed and written by Roy Orbison on August, 1964. Oh, Pretty Woman was a super hit on Billboard Hot 100. It has been used as a cover by artists like Al Green and the group Van Halen. The single inspired the popular film “ Pretty Woman” starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in the 80s. Oh, Pretty Woman  was included on the album: Orbisongs which contains other important songs like: Let The Good Times Roll, Dnace, Sleephy Hollow and Nightlife. The song was ranked on the position #222 on the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine. Roy Orbison received a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 1991 (posthumously award), and also he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hal of Fame’ s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. Orbison died on December 6, 1988 and his last compilation material was released last year. This was titled Playlist: The Very Best of Roy Orbison.
