Well, a good example of how American industry has become fat and lazy and of how we have let "financiers" corrupt our country at the expense of those who actually produce something useful.

Today I read a story about a chinese company that in the last 3 years started manufacturing electric cars, already sells 300,000 / year and expects to hit a million per year in the next 18 months. And, they do it all with their own technology - the most interesting of which is ferric (iron) based battery chemistry that is much cheaper than lithium ion technology.

The old saying: as GM goes so goes America. Well GM has gone down hill quite fast and is in danger of bankruptcy and possible oblivion. So goes America?

I know this story is in "Humor," but it would ring more true if it involved bankers deciding to stop making loans and living off their TARP bonuses.
