Heavy Marijuana Use May Damage Developing Brain In Teens, Young Adults »

Adolescents and young adults who are heavy users of marijuana are more likely than non-users to have disrupted brain development, according to a new study. Pediatric researchers found abnormalities in areas of the brain that interconnect brain regions involved in memory, attention, decision-making, language and executive functioning skills. The findings are of particular concern because adolescence is a crucial period for brain development and maturation.

The participants in the study smoke 6 joints a day!!!

I don't know many functioning people who smoke that much, so basically a parallel study would be, how would a teen or young adult brain react to 18 alcoholic drinks a day (And I'm talking liquor because a joint is generally "equal to" at least 4-5 drinks in a very short amount of time, at least from my experiences)

To me a more real world study would be, what damage does a bowl (which is farrr less than a j generally) or maybe 1 joint do to a developing brain when used 3-5 times a week, that is a more real world study.

Basically ask what will a little bit of herb used occasionally (not 6 joints 7 days a week ,42 j's a week how do these kids afford it!) do to a brain.

I've never smoked pot, but, I think I had it in a brownie, making me really tired. Believe it or not, I'm trying to turn my 102 year old grandma into a pot-head. She's hardly eating due to the pain medication she's on for breaking her hip last September, making her incredibly skinny, forgetful, and, well, old. I think that IF I can get her on THC through pill or, through smokes, maybe she'd start eating again. I mean, hey, at such an old age, and, not working, THAT'S the time to start getting groovey. But, can I have a groovey grandma legally? It seems like a crime if I can't. For one thing, that morphine she's on is killing her. Food just doesn't taste good to her. She's even losing interest in her favorite thing to eat...See's Candy.

It's been my experience that like alcohol, weed seems to effect people differently.
I get anxious when I smoke which is rare but I know some very intelligent, high (no pun intended) acheiving people who smoke it every day cause it relaxes them.
Some of them I have known since college.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it...
