Keynesian economists all owe Austrian economists a big apology. They've been saying for several years now that this would be the result from the housing bubble being created. All the Keynesian economists kept saying, "What bubble? There's no bubble."

Republicans want all business to be not regulated. This is the result of no one watching the chicken house! The greedy have stolen all the tax dollars and are laughing at the stupid taxpayers. The little guy will have to bear tha burden,as usual.

your kidding right, where was Barney Frank and Chris Dodd during this hole thing. Frank was busy humping the leg of a Fanny Mea lobbyist and Dodd was getting sweetheart deals from Countrywide, the right are the only ones who tried to call attention to this. Time to start buying up property, yeah ha

This is not a Republican or Democrat thing !!!! This is the result of both parties failing to act on the obvious!!!!

Now arguing about whose fault it s is useless at this point!!!

What we need now is to dig our heels in and start pushing these clowns to fix the problems. Ya know it isn't in anyone's interest to have so many homes empty. We need to start bringing people back to work !!!!!

The falling prices are hurting those who were to blind to see the obvious pyramid scheme. Those who got in early and often profited while those who got in late were left holding the bag.

Now the banks are hurting and don't want to lose anymore. LMAO Haaahaahaaaaaaaaaa !!!!!! Stupid !!!!! Allowing prices to rise unchecked while wages and salaries remained proportionately low then crying that they need help.

If you ask me the greedy bastards are getting what they so fully deserve.

The banks and the rest of housing related markets have a vested interest in NOT showing all properties that in forecloser. Simple supply and demand mechanics would further beat the flattened "housing market" horse paper thin.

Think on property values, and their related tax base government revenue streams, plummeting. Rentals would crash as the flood of new inventory opens up.

It may be purposeful or coincidental. The benefit of hiding it counterbalances the negative, for now. Right now, the little guy is gonna not only take it on the chin, but also in the kidneys and in the crotch.

this has happened before and will happen again--housing was overbuilt and developers will have to warehouse homes till the demand picks up..as it will--this is quite apart from the credit mess which is purely a gift from dodd , frank and the democrats with their affordable housing scam--forcing banks to give loans to people they KNEW couldnt pay for them--just more vote-buying from the party of the little guy--being led by an arrogant , naive , incompetent pres who only seems to know tax cheats , influence peddlers and lobbyists --some change

if this housing/financial nightmare had occured on a Democratic Presidents' watch, I as a sometime Democrat would recognize who the leader is and who is responsible. Leader means LEADER. Anyone who claims "they kept us safe" is either an idiot, a person who got rich in the last 8 years or a racist. This nation was left bereft of respect, globally, and nationally. We have hard times yet to come. Unstoppable greed, made fashionable two decades ago was part of the reason, and the lack of regulation. We bail out major corporation and reward their failed leaders while millions go unemployed. change will come, it has to.
