Of course this won't stop the whining drivel from the naysayers who will grovel in the dirt to pick the bones of a dead dog if they could call it a [gasp!] socialist.
In most circles a frank apology for f***ing up carries more weight than all the pretending and gaming and naysaying and other assorted bs of the last regime and its braindead acolytes.-

Another interesting facet was that the Senate, which often gets blamed for allowing such beaches in ethics to take place, made Obama and the appointees cognizant of the problem and put an end to it. (Well, apart from Geithner, at least.) Congress doesn't ordinarily get much credit for holding anyone accountable; in this case, it did. And both Demcrats and Republicans were involved.

Actually this story is so trivial thatr it shows our media is still trying to keep us dumb and dependent on state propaganda. There are real issues where Obama has already made fatal mistakes that condemn his administration to failure.

The Anti-Empire Report
Shortchanged and Real Change
Change (in Rhetoric) We Can Believe In
I’ve said all along that whatever good changes might occur in regard to non-foreign policy issues, such as what’s already taken place concerning the environment and abortion, the Obama administration will not produce any significantly worthwhile change in US foreign policy; little done in this area will reduce the level of misery that the American Empire regularly brings down upon humanity. And to the extent that Barack Obama is willing to clearly reveal what he believes about anything controversial, he appears to believe in the empire.
The Obamania bubble should already have begun to lose some air with the multiple US bombings of Pakistan within the first few days following the inauguration.....

Strike the word worthwhile and I would find this sentence to be extraordinarily hopeful!
However, there are two very troubling indications that it will be otherwise.
1. The interview on Al Aribaya was a clear indication that he is returning to Realpolitik as the framework from which to conduct foreign policy. Tyrants everywhere are now breathing more easily.
2. Obama's intention to draw down all U.S. combat troops from Iraq within 16 months would open the door to the rebirth of Persian and Ottoman empires.
