With such a limited number being raptured, it's a little like winning the lottery. Look how many will pay a c-note or better at the chance to win the Powerball! Isn't it better to send it to your pastor? I guess the guilt money keeps the church construction business liquid, so it helps the economy.

Not to mention the moral superiority and snob factor that being one of the elect automatically lays on you. And it gives the less fortunate something to complain about. Win-win-win-win on all sides.
