Some people say more laws leads to more criminals. Maybe it's the tax code it's just not fair to anyone and those who can cheat and if you have enough friends in high places you can get away with it. Yeah, engineer, you put it in a nutshell, power corrupts. Those in power make bad law and then don't abide by them but we ordinary folks will pay heavily if we broke those same laws and we could even be jailed.

The Clintons are a perfect example?
Reply
Please!...
Every political system devised by man will be imperfect be it by 'corruption' or process
Our's depends on an engaged and informed public both of which are dwindling UNTIL the $hit hits the fan
Why you would choose to point the finger at the Clintons at this juncture only serves to highlight your own personal bias.
Afterall, the last administrations corruption has eclipsed ANY in recent memory

The worst is that the majority of society is aware, acknowledges and is complacent when it comes to corruption. I am amazed, every day lately, when a see the apathy! That, to me, is the scary part. Pretty soon we will not be able voice our concern, gather or oppose...

It is more like a slow poison. The word is over used, and I believe it to stir up drama. I know in marketing, words like corruption are used on a day to day basis, especially in this economy. Good thing I took <a href="http://www.secrets-to-riches.com>pro... lance</a> so I do not have to deal with all of the "corruption"

It's interesting this generation seems to talk something like this; "well, you know they're all corrupt, so we might as well go along with it."

Slow poison, just think about the extreme opposites, a world with no corruption(yeah i know, its impossible) would lead to "world peace" and all the other stuff that comes with good intentions, as appose to a world where everyone was corrupt and anyone would stab their best friend in the back for a dollar..which isnt that much different from today

I think corruption becomes more likely when unreasonable hurdles or standards are placed in people's way. There are countries where the bureaucracy is so heavy that the only way to get things done is to circumvent it. Also when an authority figure controls a choke point but is not properly scrutinized by the agency that employs him. Corruption is a cancer. It eats away at the public's well being because it undermines a process that is supposed to be structured as unbiased or fair. If I get a road repair contract because I have better connections than another contractor, this prevents the public from possibly getting a better quality road at a lower price. We should never acquiesce to corruption. It may always be present in our society but we must constantly weed it out.
