The families of the USS Cole victims are very upset that Obama has elected to drop the charges against Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri.

They feel al Nashiri is given rights he doesn't deserve and feel this is disrespectful to those that died on the USS Cole in november 2002.
Some have gone so far as to say they are sorry they voted for Obama, feel he might be the wrong man for the job. One sister thinks he should be impeached.
Seems as each day passes more and more people are becoming disillusioned with many of Obama's choices and unkept campaign promises, despite the short time in office.-

If he is tried in a public court the government will have to produce evidence and witness' against this monster. The government will not, hopefully will not want to give away the identity or the methods used to identify and locate this person. So they will probably not present the evidence and the murdering coward will go free.

Obama didn't drop the charges. A judge did. Judge Crawford. Oh, and they were dropped "without prejudice", meaning he can be charged and tried in a different court jurisdiction than under military commissions. Shame on you for feeding the misplaced anger of people already hurting over the loss of their loved one's.

I got angry when I was given the al taqiyya from you and mutania8. I was given the pap that Muslims in war never kill anyone but armed combatants. 9/11 and the suicide bombings did not make sense to me with those ideas. I reasearched and found the dark underbelly of Islam in the Quran and hadith. I did a lot of reading and researching what I had read in those fundamental documents of Islam.

Before a battle where the opposing men were camping out with their families Muhammad another time told his followers that if women and children are too close to the fighting that is OK if some of them are killed. Slaughter of innocents started that day.

I have spent a few years in the Arabian peninsula, have been to Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Yemen not to mention Oman, Egypt, Iraq, Iran and Kuwait. I've spoken with numerous people in this region and their major disappointment with the US is with something we did and continue to do: support Israel unfailingly. If we were more even handed in our relations with Israel and the Muslim world, these disappointments would diminish considerably. -

Clearly, your military service did not inspire a devotion to our nation ... but rather .... a severe cynicism about our nation.

truthfully i was unaware that president obama along with his other duties was also the presiding judge at gitmo... what a mench. goodbye to activist judges our new pres can do it all. and what a great way to cut costs... one guy does everything. ooh, and bye the way you'all, i know this is a hard concept with the amount of schooling you've had but ... "closing" is not the same as "releasing". you're being conned by your handlers.
