The 74-seat Q400 Bombardier aircraft, operated by Colgan Air, was flying from Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey to Buffalo Niagara International Airport in light snow, fog and 17 mph winds. -

Saw an interview on MSNBC with one of the victims relatives. You have to wonder what is the news value of interviewing someone in shock who has just lost his sister? And described how his mother made "a sound he had never heard before" when he told her the news. If you have ever heard such sound of sudden shock and grief it is just chilling. And you know the wound that person has suffered. It is permanent, never forgotten. Nothing that ever needs to be on the daily news.

After the wonderful piloting of the airliner that landed in the Hudson River and the rescue of 155 passengers, we have a tragic crash that took 49 lives. Wonder if either crash landings could have been avoided by more diligent air traffic controls and regulations. Warnings of mass bird migrations and wing warmers for icy conditions might have made a difference? And I just wonder, if the pilots were switched would the outcome have been the same?

I have only one concerned comment, HOW IN GOD'S NAME ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 THE AUTHORITIES COUL NOT FIND ANY WRECKAGE OF THE PLANES OVER PENSYLVANIA AND THE PENTAGON, THIS ONE YOU CAN SEE THE TAIL AND SOME LANDING GEAR PARTS, ENGINES HHMMMMM. CAN SOMBODY EXPLAIN THAT TO ME??????????????????
