My mother, who is 75 or so, nobody knows actually how old, could use this technology because she is fiercely independent and will put up with no "nurses". It could work out well because she has me and several other children and grandchildren living within about 2 miles. It could work for others as well.

With more and more families dealing with the fact that an elderly loved one lives miles away but insists on being on their own, these kinds of things could be a god-send. It calms the family and provides security for the older person. Nearly everyone would prefer to age at home not in a "facility" and these things help extend that.
