their crimes will linger well beyond our lifetimes. the memory of what happened in new orleans after katrina will not fade easily. only the DOJ could put a crimp in what they do here. if that happened, they'd probably move to dubai.

Berkley, we only have to remember the largest "Contract Holder" in Iraq - Aegis. A Tim Spicer Company, ( Britisher)his Sandline was so immoral and bloodthirsty it was re-named Aegis. This came after the U N wrote laws against some of the chicanery his company was involved in.

And how about DynCorp? What's their name now? Remember some of their Mercenaries in Bosnia were running a forced prostitution ring.

Didn't slow them down and didn't slow Spicer's company down a bit.

Blackwater was formed by a Fundamentalist Christian and during the time of its crimes was answerable not to the American people but only to "The Decider."

Their goal of being his private facist army failed, so now the "facelift."

        Same evil.

            This is Reichwingnut modus operandi.
            Rebranding.
The wall st. bonuses have not ceased in the least, they are simply calling them "awards" now.
They simply slap a new sticker on some old stock poison and put it back on the shelf for you to buy.
John Boehner insists his name is bayner too...it's not really.
            (Remember Dr. FRANKENSTEEN?)

cowboygrandpa. Your question "Who authorized the Payment...." does indeed have an answer. Or maybe I should say has only speculation.

I was watching a Senate hearing on C-Span last year and the topic of the day was "Who hired the "Security Companies....?"

The panel being questioned was a group of Pentagon Generals. They said no one to their knowledge in the Pentagon had anything to do with the Mercenaries. None of those Generals knew who hired them, who supervises them, how much they were paid, etc. etc. Their speculation was that it all came from Dept of State ( translation White House ).

I have heard they were hired by Rumsfelt and Cheney and also supervised by them. Have no idea whether that is true or not, and don't know if the Generals were lying either.

It has gotten to where no one in Government is trustworthy anymore.
