Sir Clarke famously stated that "when a [distinguished scientist] states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong".

It is not an issue of having enough power. it is an issue of objects in space. today the earth, moon, venus, mars, the sun, and every other object in space are at very specific places in space. tomorrow they will all be at different places, millions of miles distant.

in order to travel just one day back in time all of those objects would have to be put back where they were, or else it wouldn't be the same day. now how do you do that to every object in the cosmos? at once?

Saying it's impossible is like cavemen saying a round wheel would never work, even if they could ever discover "round."

You have to gently ease people into accepting and understanding time travel before you can actually let them do it.
