Press TV - US intel confirms Iran not developing nukes »
Posted By dissent 12 months ago in NewsThe new chief of US intelligence has confirmed the findings of a 2007 intelligence report that Iran has no nuclear weapons program.
Dennis Blair told the Senate Intelligence Committee that his organization has assessed that Tehran does not have nuclear weapons design and weaponization work.
A National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), issued in November 2007 by the sixteen US intelligence agencies, clarified that Iran was not pursuing a nuclear weapons program.
The 2007 intelligence report was widely seen as a setback for Bush administration efforts to pressure Iran and halt its nuclear program.
The UN nuclear watchdog, which has carried out the highest number of inspections in its history on Iranian nuclear sites, has also found nothing to indicate that the program has diverted toward weaponization.

"IF ANYONE BELIEVES THIS CRAP, THEY ARE FOOLS..... have you not heard amenijabbbb say he will destroy isreal? you cannot believe anything he says."

First off. Ahmamenjad (sp) is down about third or fourth in 'power' and doesn't really have much say over the actions of what takes place in his country or between his country and other countries.
Secondly, Israel's not only talked about destroying other nations, but gone about breaking truces and waging war, so I'd be more concerned about Israel than most other countries in the middle east starting armageddon.
Thirdly, Iran was a MODERATE middle east country, willing to work with the west until that wonderful Diplomat, George Bush, decided to include them in his 'axis of evil' speech. Doing more harm in the middle east than any other president in the past. -

Isn't it odd how some people jumped on the band wagon when American intelligence said that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and did not wait but just blew the hell out of a country to prove the point , now those same people want to say that the American intelligence is lying about Iran so that they can't go and blow the hell out of another country.

Such confirmation is impossible. The best "US intel" or any other individual or organization may say is that no evidence was found suggesting that Iran DOES develop nuclear weapons.
I, however, have a problem with it. If Iran does not develop nuclear weapons then HOW will it possibly use hundreds of nuclear-capable medium-range (about 3,000 kilometers) ballistic missiles Iran acquired during the last several years? These missiles cost $3 million a piece and without proper warheads are virtually harmless.

Any guesses?-

Not really, but you keep pretending that's all they can do to fit your agenda.

Ballistic missiles can be fitted with any number of warheads, not neccesarily nuclear. The US uses both conventional and nuclear warheads on any number of different missile groupings.
But more importantly -- what gives the US the right to invade yet another country on a mocked up pretense to start a war it cannot afford and can never win?

This comment has to do with the comment of pc25 about President Obamas change of attitude about Iran and the nuclear threat. In the few weeks before President Obama took office he was allowed to sit in on security and intelligence briefings with President Bush and in an iterview on telivision they explained how they were "bringing him up to steam" on matters of national security. My question is how much influence does the administration have on the outcome of what is presented, if you ask the intelligence services to find the boogy man they will look and find the boogy man, so when they were bringing President elect Obama up to steam what boogy man were they looking for and has that changed. What I'm always concerned about are those people in government and government services who have their own agenda that they try and promote and at time they successfully do, former Vice President Cheney comes to mind.
