US Intel Confirms Iran Not Developing Nukes
February 13, 2009 "Press TV" -- -The new chief of US intelligence has confirmed the findings of a 2007 intelligence report that Iran has no nuclear weapons program.
Dennis Blair told the Senate Intelligence Committee that his organization has assessed that Tehran does not have nuclear weapons design and weaponization work.
A National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), issued in November 2007 by the sixteen US intelligence agencies, clarified that Iran was not pursuing a nuclear weapons program.
The 2007 intelligence report was widely seen as a setback for Bush administration efforts to pressure Iran and halt its nuclear program.
The UN nuclear watchdog, which has carried out the highest number of inspections in its history on Iranian nuclear sites, has also found nothing to indicate that the program has diverted toward weaponization....

I don't think America will be tricked into another war quite so easily ths time. Israel thought they could spread the war in Iraq to the rest of the Middle East and the US would be stupid enough to do their bidding. It almost worked. But it wont be so easy next time. -

The depth of Hyperbola's mental illness doesn't stop with her sick hatred. Take a look at her biography here at Propeller. God doesn't have the qualifications that she claims to have. And such a rational, scientific background from a totally irrational personality. She claims to be the 14th generation American. Since each generation is approximately 23 years, that would make her family tree somewhere in the Native American group, or at the least, a Mayflower family. Read the rest for yourselves. She must be the second person in history to be able to walk on water. If you believe it, I've got a bridge for sale that you might want to buy.

The idea that they have no weapons program is silly.. why wouldn't they? The Israelis do, we do. Which brings the question; how do we have the moral authority to tell them to stop? if it isn't moral authority, then what? might makes right? that would just encourage them to build a bomb.

seems to me a mutual non-aggression treaty between Israel, Iran, and the US hinged on a non-proliferation treaty is the only way everyone gets what they want.-

Good idea truthiness but the Zionists are cowards they want the other party be striped of all what they have, so that they can keep bullying and invading. -

Knowledge is not something you can contain within borders. Ever check the last names of OUR top nuclear scientists? The world has moved forward: we cannot rely on countries we don't like indefinitely remaining "developing nations": some of them are more technologically advanced than we are, and their students dominate our PhD programs. Our best bet is to work toward a world in which no nation feels the need to have nuclear weapons, even as a defensive deterrent.

I tend to doubt it. Even that Iranian nut case is not crazy enough to end Iran as he knows it. Using, or proliferating, a nuke by Iran would prompt a retaliation that would have that country glowing for decades to come and he knows it.
As icono says above - talk is cheap and all the nut case in Iran does is talk.

I find it much more threatening to have nukes in the hands of fanatic zionists. They are crazier than the Iranians. You have only to look here at the zionists threatening Americans with a nuclear war in the mideast if we do not continue to support their parasitism on our country.
Absolutely true and well said. In my opinion the Zionist animals are the worst of all mankind on the face of the earth. If the US and Europe continue to support them unconditionally as they do up to now, they might even threaten to wipe out the entire human race for their greed for wealth and power. They are the parasite on the human civilization. Wherever Zionist go there will be wars, wherever there is peace and harmony there will be disharmony and war. America has yet to realize this truth.-

Spoken as a true arab supporter. Which of your arab brothers have you murdered today?
" BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- A suicide bomber killed at least 40 Shiite pilgrims and wounded 60 others Sunday as the pilgrims made their way to Karbala to commemorate one of the holiest days of the Shiite calendar, the Interior Ministry said.
Women and children were among the casualties, the official said. Most of those killed or wounded were pilgrims.
It marked the second deadly attack on pilgrims Sunday, the official said."

Can you imagine that nutty muslim with access to a nuke!
God help us!!
Well nutty Muslims will not use Nuke to wipe out innocent people but the Zionists will do. Recent Gaza is an example where they killed more babies and women and innocent man than combatants like Hamas. These Zionist cowards want another US invasion, death and destruction. Why should the nutty Israel should be allowed to have nuke, if nutty Muslims can't have it.
Qur'an teaches the Muslims to not to transgress the divine rules:
Permission [to fight] is given to those who are unjustly fought against, and God is most capable of assisting them. Those who have been wrongfully expelled from their homes [for no reason] except their saying, “Our Lord is Allah (God)…” [Al-Qur’an 22:39-40]
Similarly, Fight in the Way of God those who fight you, but do not transgress. God loves not those who transgress. [Al-Qur’an 2:190]
Bible teaches the Zionist Jews and Christians:
Both man and woman young and old, an ox, ad sheep and ass with the edge of the sword (Joshua 6:21
This is what the nutty Zionist Jews taught to practice and they are doing it in the very eyes of the world under the pretext of Israeli security where Zionists are complaining of being threaten by babies, women, and innocent men, so they kill them indiscriminately.-

Interesting how you left out the fact that Hamas stored it's weapons, fired it's weapons and hid among the innocent civilians when they could have used unpopulated areas in Gaza to carry out their rocket attacks on Israel. Those innocents as you like to point out were casualties of a battleground made by Hamas. Do you really want to try and tell us that Hamas didn't use civilian cities from which to store and fire their rockets into Israel? Try Googlemap the Gaza strip and see how much unpopulated areas they could have used and didn't.

So the Hamas suiside bombers that walk into markets and disco's and bus's that kill inocent women and children just seem to slip your memory.
Nutty Zionist will use a Nuke? Well it's a fairly know fact that Isrial has had nukes since the mid 70's how many have gone off in the area since then?
since you like biblical quotes so much. next time a suside bomber blows up a bus full of civilians or a Hamas soldier decides to launch a couple rockets into a nursing home remember this one........An eye for An eye.

Purposely lying to us again Slate? Actually US intelligence has said consistently over the past 4-5 years that there is no evidence that Iran is working on nuclear weapons. You are simply peddling zionist propaganda again. We should hope that Obama does not succumb to zionist traitors to America like Bush did.

But if anyone else says it then they are lying and the Mullahs are just getting into nuclear power to improve a largely nonexistent power gird so as to see the Face of Allah better.

What I find interesting is that France, Russia the EU and the US have all volunteered to give Iran a Nuclear reactor for generating electricity with the stipulation that all spent fuel be controlled by internationals. Iran has refused all of this generosity. It would seem that any country that wants to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes would jump at the chance to receive the technology from countries that have actually been developing it for the last 50 years. After all, who in their right mind would want to start from scratch when they can have state of the art?

Someone who doesn't want to "owe" someone for their generosity or want someone else telling them what to do in their own country?
How would you like it if the UN (a fairly benign organization) told the US that it had to destroy all its nuclear reactors and let the UN or EU supply the US with its reactors and fuel and be monitored on a daily basis by UN inspectors?

I see Obama as a pacifist who will not take A Nuke away from Iran. Then,if you cut the Israeli albatross from America's neck, the Israeli's will probably do a preemptive strike on Iran. Russia will then back up the Iranian's to keep their oil interests alive. China will go up against the Russians to protect the Chinese source of oil for their growing industrial economy. What next?

Is it fair to distinguish evidence that Iran has halted development of nuclear weapons from evidence that they are seeking to obtain the technology. I mean you go to half the teens in America, search their rooms and find no evidence of them growing marijuana but that doesn't mean they are not looking for some weed?
Are you telling us as Americans that its unrealistic to consider that Iran wouldn't love some weed? More clearly put, should we not fear that if Iran had a weapon they would use it against us or some other culture they didn't agree with?-

Given the wars of the past 10 years, we should probably fear the US or Israel using horrific weapons against a culture they didn't agree with.
