Democrats Tailor Foreclosure Bill To Obama Goals
As President Obama prepares to announce a program next week to stem the soaring rate of foreclosures, key Democratic lawmakers say they are planning to craft a housing bill that would give the administration the authority it needs to carry out several elements of the initiative.
Obama will unveil the plan Wednesday in Arizona, among the states hardest hit by the housing downturn, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said yesterday.
Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said the administration's program would probably require changes to federal law. Some of those are already working their way through Congress. But Frank said he is looking to pull them together into a single housing package.

Frank and Dodd already wrote a bill last summer to help with foreclosures - $300 billion and to date it has helped 25 homeowners
I can hardly wait to see their next concoction

I'll wait and see if this works. I'm willing to give Obama a chance to succeed. Just like all the Bushies gave Bush during his entire presidency and even when he failed. And I know the Bushies will now howl and moan about how Obama will wreck an already wrecked economy and aren't willing to give him a chance. Boohoo, you lost now it's the Democrats turn to fix it or break it further, you don't have the votes.

whos hands is the money for people in foreclosure going to ..if its going into the banks ..it will be gone forever and these people will never see an end in sight for them...they must sent a check to the people to payoff what they owe or pay their mortgage in full and may the check sent to them made out to the bank so they can track and have a record they paid it..if it goes to the banks its deja vu all over again and the agony of defeat is still there..so lets get the program on the right foot and help those unemployed get more money and paid heath insurance until the economy stablizes and things get back on track..People are not putting money into the economy because there is no money to put in until you get these people comfortable enough to start living again .,.We all need help an no one seems to see it.. the goverment is bailing out all the wrong people...we need to fight to survive on this war...hopefully Obama sees the writing on the wall...
