What could anyone have possibly expected from a young, overtly leftist Chicago upstart who had accomplished precisely nothing of significance throughout his short career

Consider his campaign pledges: It wasn’t too long ago that Obama promised to “tell the corporate lobbyists that their days of setting the agenda in Washington are over.”
Obama’s election was supposed to end the “politics as usual,” filled with “divisiveness”
The first thing President Obama did was allow Nancy Pelosi to write the egregious “stimulus” bill, effectively making it her own personal wish list.
President Obama’s recent speech to House Democrats was as snide and sarcastic of a national address as you will ever see. It was laced with flippant, partisan attacks on those who dared to question the logic of this massive bill.
Consider the language of fear:
Consider the intellectual dishonesty:

"Martha Zoller and Jennifer Rubin each hit the nail on the head: if President Obama were as good at explaining the stimulus package as he is complaining to others about the stresses of the job, he wouldn’t feel the need to resort to testy pompousness. Obama has thus far proven to be better at displaying his obsession with talk radio personality Sean Hannity — he mentions him every chance he gets — than explaining, in a rational and coherent manner, how the Democratic pork-pet projects in his spending bill will save our economy. That’s the reality, and that’s sad."
"During last year’s campaign, critics of Barack Obama contended he was too inexperienced, too leftist, and in a sense, too good to be true. He was, we observed, just another politician — in fact, one uniquely entrenched with Chicago corruption and archaic tax-and-spend philosophies. In other words, a less noble Jimmy Carter."
"Less than a month into his presidency, this view of President Obama has been vindicated — until he proves otherwise. Hang on to your hats (and wallets); it might be a long four years"
Yet the Obama cultists refuse to see him for what he really is - another pandering politician who never intended to keep any of the promises he made
As my Grandfather used to tell us - Never believe anything a politician says. Consider what they tell you is a lie until proven otherwise -

#2 was pretty funny.

"Consider his tone and lack of bipartisanship:"
umm, its the GOP that's holding things up, and the vast majority of Americans (70% who gave Obama their approval in polls last week) know who to blame. and it ain't Obama. the lack of bipartisanship hasclearly come from the right side of the aisle, as evidenced by a blanket vote against something that most Americans want. even republican mayors and governors (who are seeing first hand the result of Bushco economics and want that stim bill passed yesterday) aren't with the GOP brown-nosers up on the hill.
so, pretty stupid analysis in this piece to say the least. nothing more than a shortcut to thinking, espeicially since it didn't take into account what Americans actually want and who they're actually behind.
and you cons can sit around here and circle jerk all you want (its all you guys seem to be good at), but the rest of the country is moving forward, with or without you.-

And as for Comrade 0Bama saying all those wonderful pie in the sky things then turning around and basically being proven to be 'lying about them' just remember a couple of things when dealing with any politician, especially if they are a narcissistic elitist;
1. The truth is always relative to what they want to accomplish; the 'truth', as they see it, has no relevance to any reality that does not include them at the center of that reality.
2. To them, a 'common' citizen is considered chattel to be controlled and manipulated by any means necessary.
